Bill Belichick To The Miami Dolphins? Colin Cowherd Sparks STUNNING Dolphins Rumors
Could [Music] Bill Bellich check, yes, Bill Bich, be the next head coach of the Miami Dolphins. There are a lot of rumors about Miami moving on from Mike McDaniel if he continues to struggle this year. It’s something that most fans want and myself included are pining for McDaniel to be fired if these struggles continue. But the question is, who should replace McDaniel going forward after this year? And could it be Bill Bellichic? Well, the reason why we’re making this video is because Colin Cowardd speculated the idea saying, “What about Bellich? He has a place in Jupiter, doesn’t he?” which by the way isn’t really that close to Miami, but he mentioned that Miami loves sex appeal. I don’t think Bellich’s crazy in Miami. Now, I will quickly dispel this notion and idea from Coward about hiring Bill Bellich, and I’ll explain more why in a second, but to me, just right off the bat, this would be one of the most crazy overreactions and overcorrections in maybe NFL history. going from McDaniel to Bill Bich. Come on, man. I don’t really think that’s realistic at all. But what say you? Let me know. Would you hire Bill Bellichic to be the next head coach of the Dolphins if they moved on from Mike McDaniel following this season? Type Y for yes or type N for no. This is a very, very hard pass from yours truly. I just simply don’t think Bill Bich has it anymore, especially at the NFL level. And with his current age being 73 years old, like I don’t think it makes sense for Miami to hire a coach that old in the process knowing you’re probably only getting three to what, five years left in him. I mean, that’s what the Raiders did, but I don’t really want to go that route, especially because I don’t think Bill Bich has it anymore. Like I mentioned, I think he’s washed. Like in his final four years in New England, 2019, by the way, was the final year with Tom Brady. So first year without Brady, they went seven and N. That was the Cam Newton year. Then first year rookie M. Jones, they went 10 and seven and made the wild card look like they were trending back towards being a contending team. But then 8-9 2022, 4 and13 2023. You could kind of blame the entire downfall of M. Jones in New England on the hiring of Matt Patricia to be their offensive coordinator once Josh McDaniels, who is back in New England as their OC, went to be the Raiders head coach. But the added difficulty and I guess negative reason why I would want to bring in Bellich is that he would likely want team control. That’s what he had in New England for all that time. He was the head coach and GM. It’s why I think no one hired him to be their NFL head coach this cycle. It feels as if he is going to want team control, which is why he’s at the college level coaching North Carolina. And there is absolutely no world where I would give Bill Bichc GM powers, let alone head coaching powers as well. And I think part of the reason is why is because he failed in his last couple drafts. Remember his final two years, New England 2022 and 2023. Well, the 2022 NFL draft class is maybe one of the worst classes of all time. Drafted Cole Strange, Miami Dolphin after he was waved just late August. So, first round pick didn’t even make it through his rookie contract. Tw Taekquin Thornton, the wide receiver out of Baylor, waved. Marcus Jones is still on the team. Oh, look at that. Jack Jones, another Dolphins. So, two Dolphins already. You already have four players, not even the NFL and only one player. Excuse me. Yeah. You know, one player still remains on the Patriots from this draft class just three years ago. That being Marcus Jones. Well, his last draft wasn’t much better, folks. He had a really good hit with Christian Gonzalez. Top five corner in the NFL in my opinion. Drafted him in the first round, but Keanu White is already almost out of it. Second round pick. Marte Mapu doesn’t really have a role there. Jake Andrews and Chad Ryland aren’t really on the team anymore. MafI ain’t on the team anymore. Bootsy and Behringer. That’s a good sixth round, especially Dear Mario Douglas, too. All of them still on that Patriots group. But the point is, the last two drafts he had weren’t very good. I simply don’t think he has the keen eye to draft topend talent in the National Football League anymore. I think he’s cooked. And especially with that age that I mentioned, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. If he was still an elite coach and a good motivator of men like Pete Carol is, and you brought in the right GM to kind of help lay the groundwork as well, sure, maybe you can convince me. But the fact that he’s very arrogant, he’s not good with the media. he doesn’t have his fast ball anymore and probably wouldn’t work well with a different GM is the exact reason why it doesn’t make sense to go with Bill Bich. But Dolphins fans, make sure you do subscribe because this is your one-stop shop for all things Miami Dolphins. We’re talking potential replacements for Mike McDaniel and we aren’t even through week two. If you want everything around the Dolphins, this is the channel for you. Subscribe today for more content. And this is kind of where I want to go with this. Like if I’ll be honest, and I’m going to contradict myself with this statement just in a second because we are going to look at some head coach targets coming up, but I really do think we should cool the talk on potentially who is replacing Mike McDaniel because we have to wait for him to actually be fired first. Who knows what happens. Maybe he’s fired in the middle of the season. hasn’t happened since uh the head coach resigning in 2004 after the 1 and8 start. Um so it’s hard to talk about targets to replace McDaniel until he’s actually fired and we already know that if he was can mid-season who would replace him. It would be your defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver. Um but we have to wait for that to happen. I’ll say this though, I truly do believe this Sunday Mike McDaniel is coaching for his job. Do I think he would be fired this upcoming Monday if New England loses? No. But this game is for his job for the future. Why do you say that, Nick? Well, if the Dolphins lose this week at home to the New England Patriots, making them 0 and2 to start the year, losing to two teams that you were projected to be better than this year. I at least in my opinion and from Dolphins fans perspectives, well, you’re gonna lose in week three on the road on Thursday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills, which means you would likely start the year 0 and3. Vibes would be rock bottom and it would probably be three straight embarrassing losses. And Roley’s prediction would be that he’s fired the Friday after that loss to the Buffalo Bills if they lose this Sunday because they would be 0 and three with at least two embarrassing losses. And you would have a full week and a half to fire McDaniel that Friday and then have the whoever is next head coach, that being Anthony Weaver, have a full week and change to prepare for week four, which is Monday Night Football at home against the Jets. So, if you’re going to fire Mike McDaniel mid-season, that feels like the best opportunity to do so, especially if they start 0 and3. If they don’t do it then or the Dolphins are one and two and they don’t fire him, then you probably would wait to see what happens the rest of the year and then the next firing opportunity could probably take place when they’re on their by-week after the Madrid game in week 11. Coming up, head coach targets. I do want to mention a few names out there, but get started with prize picks today. If the Dolphins made the right decision to fire Mike McDaniel, I’d be pretty happy with that. But your right decisions could get you paid on prize picks. It’s good to be right. So simple to play. Pick more or less on two to six player stat projections. If you get your picks right, you could cash in. It’s the best way to win cash this football season. Which players are going off? Which ones aren’t? Make your picks in less than 60 seconds and turn your takes into cash all season long on prize picks. Also, they offer injury reboots. If one of your players leave the game in the first half and doesn’t return, prize picks will not count it as a loss. My entry for week two, very simple. Max discount, take advantage, Travis Kelce, more than half a passing yard. I’m pairing that up with more than half a touchdowns for Terry McLaren. Two player entry here. Very simple. Hopefully, I can cash in. Download the app today and use code C LNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That is code C LNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup prize picks. It’s good to be right. I said I was going to contradict myself and here I am doing that saying that I don’t think we should be talking about head coach replacements until McDaniels actually fired. But I did want to educate the Dolphins fans because a lot of people have asked me in the comments section on who could be McDaniel’s replacement since I do want him to ultimately be fired. But here are the top 10 names that I would like you guys to at least keep your eye on, be aware of. There are some interesting names on here and current titles. There are some former head coaches like Vance Joseph who is the current Denver defensive coordinator. Cliff Kingsbury, the current Commanders offensive coordinator. Mike McCarthy, the ex Dallas Cowboys head coach. You got Ron Rivera, the ex-panthers and commanders head coach. You have Robert Salah, the current 49ers defensive coordinator, but the former Jets head coach. And then you would have some firsttime NFL head coaches like current Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman, but then some coordinators Joe Brady, Zack Our, Chris Schula, Jesse Mter, and yes, Chris Schula is the grandson of Don Schula. But here is my take when it comes to what I would want next in a Miami Dolphins head coach. I want someone who will lead the men in the locker room and inspire a locker room. I don’t need someone to be some unbelievable hardo, but I need someone that the players want to play for. They want to be coached for by. You see some of these guys that come into the league, right? Like the Demo Ryans, like the Shawn McVeys. These guys know how to lead. They know how to speak to the locker room. They know how to get these guys fired up, be well prepared for big games, let alone any game on Sundays. I need to be confident that this head coach can be the face of my franchise. McDaniel probably did wow Chris Greer and Steven Ross in the meetings with his intellect on football in some of his offensive concepts, but the truth is he is not a leader. He doesn’t inspire confidence in these young men and veterans in the locker room. And I need the antithesis of that. I need that flipped. If you’re going to try to go do a 180 from McDaniel to your next head coach, that’s the one area I wanted to be in, the ability to lead men. And there are three people on that initial 10 coach list that have my eye the most in my opinion. Zack Gore, the current Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator. Robert Salah, the former Jets head coach, 49ers defensive coordinator or current defensive coordinator. I think he got the run of the deal in New York. I thought a lot of the blame should be placed on their GM, Joe Douglas, as well as um Aaron Rogers coming in and kind of ruining everything there and them never really having a quarterback. I mean, Salav was stuck with Zach Wilson. I mean, come on, what are we doing here? And then Marcus Freeman, the Notre Dame head coach. That one is a very fascinating idea. And I have a lot more to say on Zack Ore coming up here in a second. But who is your top replacement for Mike McDaniel? You see him fired now. Who is the guy that you think you would want to replace him with if you had to choose right now? Let me know your guy down below. I will cool the head coach talk ever so slightly right now because if you do follow the NFL, and if you don’t, I’ll help you out here. The order of operations usually is nailing the GM. And I think we could all confidently say that if you’re firing Mike McDaniel, you’re going to fire Chris Greer. And vice versa, if you fire Chris Greer, you’re also getting rid of Mike McDaniel. The two are a package. They got to go both of them. And same thing with the new head coach, too. The head coach is going to be likely picked out by the new GM. So, Ross has to nail the GM higher, and then the GM and owner have to hire the right head coach. But the reason why I’m all in on Zack Our and that is my top guy. I told you the initial list of 10 guys I’m keeping an eye on. I whittleled it down to three, including Marcus Freeman and Robert Salah. But I think Zack Gore is the right man for the job potentially. Former linebacker, he’s a young guy, but he is a leader. And you just watch the Ravens defense who, yes, have had it struggles at times. It’s an older defense, but the way they play, the on a weekly basis, on a snap basis, the way they are playing for their head coach, the way their head coach gets fired up for the players, that’s the type of stuff I’m looking for. He is a guy that can relate to the players, but also lead them in the right mindset. But also, I think it could ultimately transcend Miami into a better franchise. It could be a double whammy, as I like to call it. You can pull the defensive coordinator from Baltimore as your next head coach, but you can also double it and that be your potential GM. Hire the Ravens vice president of player personnel, who is also a former GM for the Browns in 2009, George Kakinas. I think I said that right. But the point is, he has had a large hand in the consistent success on this Ravens team since he joined the organization in 2010 as a director of player personnel and now elevated to vice president of player personnel. He clearly has a keen eye for talent considering all of the good additions in agency and through the draft. Or you could go with the current director player of personnel, Mark Azdo. Hopefully I said that right as well, who also got elevated to this current role just within the last couple of years. You add one of those two to be your new GM. You bring in Zack or to be your head coach and you steal a lot of what the Baltimore Ravens have done over the last decade plus and that is a good organization to steal from. Yes, they haven’t won a Super Bowl in a while, but they are consistently in the playoffs and consistently one of the best teams in the NFL, which is a massive upgrade for what Miami has had over the last 25 years. All right, that will do it for today’s show. Make sure you are subscribed for daily Dolphins coverage. WE had the guy Campbell
Never going to happen! as Don Shula is king 328 Wins and no one wants Bill getting more wins as he was 302 Wins.

Time for a new GM and head coach.Gut The The team for as many draft picks as possible. And get back to playing Smash Mouth football run the ball, stifling defense, and awesome special teams.
Vance Joseph is absolutely horrible!!!
No more first time head coaches. Get Gruden.
Everybody thinks that Belichick is a great coach. He is not. Look at the facts. It was Brady that ran that team. How many playoffs were the Patriots in after Brady left???? All the years that the Bucs missed the playoffs, they won the Superbowl the very first year with Brady. And they almost went to a second one the following year. And went to the playoffs on his third year. Now that Brady is gone, the Bucs are trash.
I would love to have coach Bill Cowher. He would light a fire on their ass.
well, the thing about Cowherd, is he is wrong about EVERYTHING! So no, stupid idea from a stupid man..
here are my thoughts…
there is a scenario to replace McDaniels (if it comes to that) that I can't get out of my head… Stephen Ross has a relationship with Tom Brady… Omar Kelly and Alain Poupart agree that Ross does not want an experienced coach, he wants to find the next Don Shula… There is a complication that Brady is part owner of the Raiders…. However, perhaps Ross could offer Brady the head coaching job and buy part ownership in the team, if Brady sells his Raider share…
I would rather have the GOAT
Yo u were wrong u said we haven't fired coach mid-season..we fired philbin in 2015 after 4 games😊
What a trainwreck this would be.
Just so the audience knows, Ross does not want an experienced coach… this comes from 2 reputable beat writers who have asked Ross directly… he wants to find the next Shula… he wants somebody he can mold… so you may as well stop with the Gruden, Ariens stuff… the only possible guy may be Harbaugh somehow, because of Ross's Alma Mater…
don’t take anything cowherd says please
Hire Donald Trump my President will fix our Team to all our team your fired
Great. Hire Belichick. Maybe the Dolphins can cheat their way through the season. Just great.
Bill is an elite coach and a horrible GM. You can only coach the players you drafted.
Nope. He wouldn't come out of retirement anyway for a losing team.
Please no no no we don’t want washed up bill.
No, he has done nothing since losing Tom Brady.
Heck no no no no
Absolutely not
Stavros in panhandle says uncle Bill, flexi REX Ryan, John Gruden aka Chuckie, you 3 guys can help tremendously, but tell disastrous Ross NO, unless he gets rid of Grier and Grier assistants, they need to be gone.
Relax nobody is being fired for at least the first 6 games, even if we lost all, after that can't call it, but im certain were good and we will make the post season so you can see how soft and wrong you are
Bring Back The Minn Vikings Defensive Coordinator!!!
No
No please!!!
Anthony weaver
We saw what Belicheck could do as a HC when Brady left the Patriots. ‘Nuff said.
Hell to the NO!!!
