Between the Athletics and the Reds and for the Athletics, no starter confirmed at the time this video is being recorded. I did see JT Gin listed in a couple of places. So, we’ll have to see if he ends up being the starter for the Athletics, but what I do know is that Jay, excuse me, Brady Singer is listed as a starter for Cincinnati here, 13-9 on the year, 3.98 erra. And with Brady Singer, you look at some of his recent outings, you know, he’s been decent for the uh for for the Cincinnati Reds. You know, six innings of one-run ball against the New York Mets. That’s a Mets team that’s been crushing right-handed pitching. We stifled them. Had a quality start against the St. Louis Cardinals at home. Back-to-back six inning one-run performances against Arizona and the Angels. Six innings of shut out ball against the Braves and the Phillies at home. So what you know what’s impressive for me about Singer in that run of form is the fact that you know a lot of those starts were a hitter friendly great American and you look at Brady Singer’s numbers this season you know Brady Singer has had some solid numbers at Great American a 3.07 07 ERA, a 209 opponent’s batting average. He’s had 90 strikeouts in 85 innings of work. So, that’s mighty impressive as well. Now, the ERA on the road does go up over five in his in his starts this season. You know, uh 5.18 erra across 13 road starts. However, I do still think that this is a decent spot for uh for Brady Singer, for for the Reds. You know, the the athletics in the month of uh September so far, don’t get me wrong, have been crushing right-handed pitching. 323 batting average, the team OPS numbers are are are the best in baseball. The Iceland power numbers are just outside the top five, but it hasn’t necessarily resulted in wins and losses or excuse me, in wins for the uh for the athletics. They’ve still, you know, gone four and six across their last 10. And if you go just to the month of September, four and five entering Thursday’s action. Um but there’s been a couple shutouts in there. A lot of the damage that the athletics did against righties came in the first couple games of that Angel series where they scored a combined 27 runs. But outside of that, the outputs, five against Boston, back-to-back shutouts against the Red Sox, three runs in the finale against the Angels, back-to-back one-run games against the Cardinals, and then 11 runs to start the month. So, very sporadic hitting, but I do think the singer could have a good start here if it is JT Gin that gets the start for the Athletics in this one. Guinness had major issues pitching at Sutter Health Park this season. The Cincinnati Reds are still a very solid lineup against right-handed pitching. You know, they do have a high strikeout rate, but they also have great isolated power numbers. And I think that in the end, the value with this with the is with the Reds at this price with something to still play for. I get that, you know, the uh the Athletics are still, you know, trying to build some positive vibes for next season and are still playing some solid baseball, but I I just think that the the Reds get it done here to draw first blood in the series.
