Ben Rice SLUGS a 3-run homer to open the scoring in a FIERCE AL East battle! πͺ
and Ben Rice. [Music] See on the Yankee uniform there’s a a yellow ribbon and that’s for awareness for childhood cancer. All wearing a lot of them wearing yellow wristbands. The 01. Tim Wolf has two yellow wristbands. He also has a pitcher friendly designation. More high strikes, more inside strikes. 27th big league season. His brother was a pitcher. Of course he’s pitcher friendly. Yeah. Yeah, that’s right. You know, when his brother used to pitch, they wouldn’t let him be behind the plate. That’s against her league rules, I guess. Makes sense, right? Up the strike zone might get a little big. Maybe depends what kind of relationship you are with your have with your brother, right? Yeah. I think you know if Abel was pitching they’d let Kane on fire. Exactly. Wow. You went all the way back to religion class for that one, did you? Oh, biblical times. Sunday. The one two still one and two. I’m Ben Rice. [Music] two and two. So they’re making Sherzer work now. Now, after his first game of the season this year, Sherza missed almost 3 months with right thumb inflammation, which he said was tying into a sore lat. It’s amazing all the things that went wrong with his body was because of the thumb. He said, “My shoulder, everything compensating because of the thumb.” He added that the trouble with his thumb forced him to make adjustments with his arm, which is a recipe for disaster. First and second, one out. Just underway. Bottom of the first. Here’s a payoff. High drive right field. Foul. Deepens it. Second down. Yeah, because of the location of the pitch. Uh, you know, it was hammered hard, but really nothing you can do with it other than just yank it. Foul. Change up right under his hands. He got out under it and just pulled it [Music] and payoff. Gripped but foul. [Music] Blue Jays signed Sherzer to a one-year $15.5 million deal on February 4th. 3-2 grounded foul. Paul mentioned the three Sai Youngs also seven straight top five finishes from 2013 to 2019 and that ties in with Maddox and Kershaw for the longest streak of all time. Driven deep to right field. Going back is Springer. Turning looking. See youa. A home run for Ben Rice. And just like that, the Yankees lead three nothing. Just like that. That’s what you said, Michael. Wow. What an at couple pitches in that he hammered foul. And then finally, if you foul enough off and we saw the Blue Jays do this to Schlitler earlier in the series. Sooner or later, their pitcher will make a mistake and Ben Rice took advantage of it. That was a line drive into the seats. Three nothing. 23rd home run of the year. Now has 54 ribbies. Here’s Stanton. That’s how you get the Sher because he will give up the home run ball every once in a while. And if he gives him up with runners on base, you got your big blow. You look at that at bat, Michael. That was a 10 pitch at bat. He worked him, used a lot of pitches, and finally got a pitch out over the plate that he could handle. Matt Scherzer at 41 years old, believe me. I mean, you do lose some stuff. I mean, you have a lot of wisdom on how to get guys out, but sometimes the stuff you miss. Velocity down maybe a little bit. supposed to be up under the hands and see just kind of up but over the middle of the plate. Then just hammered line drive into the seats. [Music] [Music]
Ben Rice gives the New York Yankees a quick 3-run lead vs. the Toronto Blue Jays on September 7, 2025.

was I the only one who thought that the 7 pitch was a homer
Anyone catch Judge throw his hands up?π€¨
I really admire Rice's grit, he's legitimately having one of the unluckiest seasons in recent history, he's near the league leaders in average exit velocity and hard hit percentage, and he's batting .243. Imagine how frustrating that must be.
Now it's tried
Heβs such a stud
Those who thought 2:24 was the homer
A healthy yankees wouldve had like 5 30 hr hitters (Grisham, Judge, Jazz, Stanton, Bellinger, Rice…
Great AB
LOL. As if!
White Rice has struck again.
I watch every Yankee game without fail. BEN RICE hits the ball hard almost every time. Much more consistently than any other yankee, by far.. his numbers should be much better
called it again
Ben struck
twelve again
Say: Touche
pitch count ???
He's a great player. I think he'd be better if he didn't swing as hard.

Got to give credit to old man Scherzer and Verlander still pitching in MLB and finding success. The circa 2010 Tigers pitching prospects turned out to be one of the GOATs
