INJURY REPORT: New Orleans #Saints rule three out, but Taliese Fuaga may go

Well, at the cart may tell you everything you need to know about the New Orleans Saints. Following week two’s three days of practice, the New Orleans Saints ruled three players out. No big surprises. Julian Blackman, who we expect to eventually go to injured reserve, will be out. Yonas Sanker, the rookie safety, third round rookie from this year’s draft, will be making his NFL debut as a defensive starter during this one. The Saints are very, very excited about that young man’s talent. Now get an early opportunity to get a look at him. The Saints also ruled out the same two players they ruled out last week. Trevor Penning on the offensive line. So Dylan Raidens will be the guy standing in there when it comes to the left guard position. Meanwhile, Chase Young will again be out. So I would probably expect Fidil Diggs, the seventh round rookie, to find his way back to the active roster at some point to help out with the edge rotation for that game going up against San Francisco. San Francisco at this point hasn’t released its injury report just yet. But we expect that Brock Perie, quarterback, will be out. We know George KD is out. Jawan Jennings is trending towards being out. And of course, we know that Brandon Aayuk won’t be available as he’s on the physically unable to perform list. One couple of good things for the Saints though in terms of the players that are out. That’s the negative side. But the positive side, Talas Fuanga, two days in a row back at practice. He’s questionable going into the game, but still on a positive trajectory. It looks like if he’s unable to go, then it would be Austin Richards that would step in at right tackle. And then long snapper Zack Wood, an interesting one. You don’t see many long snapper injuries, but he’s dealing with an elbow injury, was elevated to full participation on Friday after being downgraded to not participating on Thursday. So, it looks like he’ll be ready to go. The Saints have some guys in reserve that can do that in a pinch and in an emergency. But good news for New Orleans. Their operation will be ready to go when it comes to field goal and punt teams. So, those are your updates there. We’ll continue to keep you up to date with everything going into elevations tomorrow on Saturday. And then of course Sunday after the game, we’ll walk to the car and I’ll tell you all about
