We got the St. Louis Cardinals and the Brewers going at it. This will be game two of this series. Um, these teams play Friday evening. I’m recording this Friday afternoon, so I don’t know what the result of that game will be, but man oh man, the St. Louis Cardinals just got swept um this week against the Mariners, but the Brewers also got swept as well. Um, they went into Texas, lost that series three games to zero, but they were coming off a a series against the Pirates where they swept them. So, I really still like this Brewers team. This Brewers team has probably made me the most money out of any team so far this season. What scares me a little bit is maybe they’re taking their foot off the gas. You know, yes, the Cubs are kind of on their heels, but um the Brewers are going to win their win that division. What is it? The NL Central. They’re going to win that division. I think they know that. So, that’s the only thing that scares me about the Brewers, but I think they have a a great chance to to beat up on a Cardinals team that doesn’t have a shot to make it to playoffs. They’ve checked out and and realistically, they’ve just been so damn bad on the road this season. So, you know, the pitching match up, you got Sunny Gray on the mound for the Cardinals, Brandon Woodruff on the mound for the Brewers. Sunonny Gray. I mean I mean I I think Sunonny Gray is still a good pitcher, don’t get me wrong, but we’ve seen him in certain spots. Definitely down the stretch. I feel like his old age might be catching up to him a little bit. Um you know, in his last five starts, he has a 635 RA. We saw him on September 1st give up 11 or sorry, gave up seven runs against the Athletics. On August 16th, he gave up six earning against the Yankees. Um, he’s given up three or more earned runs in four of his last five starts. I just think as we get towards the end of the season, like I said, he he is an older pitcher. I feel like that kind of that wear and tear on his arm, and it’s not a guy I’m I’m really rushing it back. On the other hand, Brandon Woodruff, yeah, we have seen some questionable starts out of Brandon Woodruff as of late, but in his last start, he pitched six innings, only allowed two hits, and zero earned runs against the Pirates. So, I think he’s able to carry that momentum into this one. And all around this has to be a Brewers spot for me, especially after getting swept by the Rangers. I think they come back home and and they flex their muscle a little bit here. So, I’m going to take the Brewers and I’m also going to take them on the run line. Um, I just don’t think this game’s too competitive. It shouldn’t be. It’s baseball. Anything could happen. But, the Cardinals on the road this season have just been atrocious.
