🚨TRADE ALERT: New England Patriots Send Ja’Lynn Polk To The New Orleans Saints | Patriots News

Breaking news, Patriots fans. We interrupt your college football Saturday with a trade. The New England Patriots are trading wide receiver Jaylen Pulk and a 2028 seventhround pick to the Saints for a 2027 sixthround pick. And that comes from Diana Rini, Doug Kide of the Boston Herald. Later confirmed it, and then we saw it from Adam Sheper. not a like surprise trade in the slightest. We knew that Pulk was on the decline. We knew that he wasn’t what we wanted him to be being a second round pick last season. It was just kind of like, all right, well, Poke, you’re out of here. And he was out for the season already. He was placed on season ending IR. He never really got a chance to kind of break out during training camp dur saw during that first preseason game. He did look slow, but overall he’s getting a fresh start for the Saints. He’s not going to play this year, but uh just thought I had to give you guys a quick video, and that’s why you subscribe to the channel. I’m literally getting ready for the Kentucky game because we play Eastern Michigan, but I knew I got to get it out for the Patriots fans. So, subscribe to Patriots today. But let’s talk about I mean, Jaylen Pulk, a 37th overall pick in 2024, and he just never really panned out for the Patriots. He played 15 games last year, only 12 catches on 33 targets, 87 yards, and two touchdowns. It was nothing. It was absolutely nothing. It was kind of disappointing. And we kind of I’ve talked about it multiple times on this channel throughout the off season how it was just he’s probably going to get cut. He’s probably going to get traded. We saw the emergence of Eton Chisum. And I’m going to preview like talk about tomorrow’s game in just a second, but I want to stick with Pulk here. Like he kind of just fell down the totem pole and it was first Javon Baker where we were like, well, Baker’s kind of exceeding Pulk’s availability and then we saw Javon Baker get Jayvon Baker get cut and Pulk was also dealing with an injury right before training camp. It took him a minute to get to even practice. he wasn’t placed on the pup list or he was and then he was activated but he didn’t practice like the first 10 days and he already fell behind. So I just think with the reliability that he wasn’t able to bring for the Patriots, they decided, hey, we’re going to put him on IR because he’s going to get shoulder surgery. And me personally, I think he he got the surgery. He didn’t really need it, but this is just random speculation. I think he kind of just he needed that s he didn’t need the surgery and he got it so he could be placed in higher so he wasn’t cut. But the Patriots are now trading him and like give me your one-word reaction and it’s just disappointing. He was a 37th overall pick in 2024. He was supposed to be that guy coming out of Washington that was going to be amazing. Absolutely amazing. And what happened? Absolutely nothing. And a 2024 first round pick, it’s only 2025. He should not be worth a sixth round pick. And you had to get rid of a 2028 seventh round pick. And I’m looking it up right now. I mean, I should know this, but I have to confirm just uh just to make sure. Outside of the Patriots or outside of Drake May, the draft class of 2024, Doug Kai tweeted this out. Yeah, he was thinking the exact same thing. He tweeted out 3 minutes ago at 12:53 Eastern time. Round two pick Jaylen Pulp 34 traded Kayan Wallace. Round three pick 68 backup guard. Round four, Leen Robinson waved on IR. Round four, pick 110. Jayvon Baker waved, not on the team. Round six, pick 180, Marcela Style on IR. Pick Round six, pick 193, Joe Milton traded. Round seven, pick 231, Jahem Bell waved. So that only leaves two people from that draft class, Drake May and Kaden Wallace. That is awful. That is terrible. How do you This is a year. This isn’t like, oh yeah, 2022 goes by. We get rid of the players. Like some of them don’t pan out. This is within a year. One year. We are in week two of the 2025 NFL season. And I know I’m getting worked up here, but it’s just that was an outright disaster. And honestly, Elliot Wolf should have to pay for it. You cannot go into 2025, the second year, your second year with that draft class and everybody’s gone. Nobody pans out. That is an outright disaster. Quote Doug Cod. It is crazy to think that none of these guys are on the team. And we don’t even know Kaden Wallace is going to stay on the team. He’s a backup. You’re a third round pick. Jared Wilson, he’s already starting. He’s panning out to be pretty well. He had a bad game, but it it is what it is. It This was just a disaster class. And you had a chance to take Lad Maki three picks earlier than Jaylen Pulk. Three picks earlier. And I knew Jaylen Pope was going to get traded that that Commander game. He looked slow on that jet sweep and then he immediately fell on his shoulder and then uh kind of just did not did not did not do well. But let’s kind of move on. Let’s talk a little bit about tomorrow’s game. Harold Landry was taken off the list, which is a good thing. He was taken off the injury list, so expect him to play. You need him so bad. But Christian Gonzalez out once again. Keon White is out with an illness. I’ll talk about that in a second. Morgan Moses and Marte Mapu are questionable. And with Keon White having an illness, I mean, the joke on Twitter that a lot of people made and it was, yeah, he’s sick of being behind Caleb Chason and he’s sick. Another random speculation, but should we see Keon White? Is Keon White going to be on this team come by the trade deadline? He has fallen behind in the depth chart. He’s behind Caleb Son behind Harold and injury and when he gets on the field he doesn’t look that great. He doesn’t look that good. So I kind of think the Patriots might be looking to move off of him in the future. Anthony Jennings is going to step up in his place tomorrow and we should probably see him. And this is the time, Anthony Jennings, I talked about you all off season long, all off season. I said you’re terrible. You’re good at run defending, great at run defending, but you cannot get to the quarterback to save your life. This is the time to vindicate. Make me eat my words. Anthony Jennings, do it. Ball out tomorrow. Get to two of them. Show that offensive line that’s down two starters. Show them what you’re made of because you’re going to get in some. You’re going to get some reps. Keon White got some reps. It’s gonna happen. So, but Keon White, I’m not 100% sure of what what his deal is right now. A lot of the Patriots fans are thinking that this is a lot more than just a little bit of sickness. They think that uh a lot of people think that he’s not going to be on this team, and I kind of think so, too. I’ll uh go down in the comments if you want to trade Keon White. T for trade or P for past. And then we got to talk about Christian Gonzalez. Still was a place in IR, which is kind of the blessing that you could say, but he has not practiced and I don’t expect him to practice, but I’m at Defcon 3. I keep saying at Defcon 3, if we show up on Tuesday or Wednesday next week and he is still not practicing and you’re not ready for that Steelers game, when are you going to be ready, dude? because the Patriots need him tomorrow. They need his ass. You’re going up against the Dolphins in Miami that you haven’t beat since this or September 15th, 2019. I was in college still. That was my senior year of college. It was Antonio Brown’s one and only game as a Patriot, which he did score a touchdown. But you need Christian Gonzalez to be healthy. And I get it. Hamstring injuries are very, very, very, very cautious. You have to be cautious because especially with a cornerback, you’re twisting and turning and making plants and all type of movements and just like that you can reagravate it. Did Christian Gonzalez reagravate his hamstring? I don’t know. Uh Mike Frabel seems to not say anything about the injury. Just he’s progressing. We like what we’re seeing. Kind of just your no answer type. But hope Christian Gonzalez is okay. You have to get Tatua Tag Leava tomorrow. You have to contain Jaylen Wadd. You have to contain Tyreek Hill. The Dolphins just came out about 30 minutes ago saying, “We are not trading Tyreek Hill. We are not trading.” So, it is going to be a an interesting game.   5. Guy came into the league saying he had the best hands in the NFL. Couldn't stay on the field and worse, couldn't catch a football thrown his way. Anyone who played WR in college could have done as well or better than he did. Anyone. He was that bad. Wish him luck in NO, though.

  24. LMAO, You talk like the Patriots knew Polk would come in, be a bust, and they still drafted him. He was a solid player in college and that's what they were hoping for just like all the other 31 teams that draft players. They either continue to be nfl ready or they don't adjust. Simple as that.
