roof wide open on a gorgeous night here in Seattle. The Mariners looking to keep the winning streak going. A chance for a series win. It’s game three of four, the Mariners and the Los Angeles Angels. Mike Trout leading things off. Brian Woo on the mound tonight. A big deep breath for the young right-handed starter. And we are underway with a fast ball missing just inside from ball one. It was it it felt like 1995. Swing and a miss. And Brian Woo strikes out Mike Trout to begin the ball game tonight. A good bolt in 97. Well, this is not unusual right here. Brian, what do you like? You know, some of the new fangled machines out there. Jam little bean bag over to Gino at third base. That felt like a very judgy question. It’s perfect. Everyone, please wait. Swing and a miss for strike three. We’re taking Val’s coffee order here. It takes more than three batters. Couple of strike out. One, two, three first for Brian Woo. This is a fair ball and it skims off the short wall. Cal Raleigh pedals into third. The Mariners in business right away. A double from Julio. Inside out, slice down the line. Fair ball to the corner. Cal is scoring. Julio is coming home. Jorge Palanco with a two-run double. The Mariners in front right away. It’s another extra base hit for Red Hot Jorge. First Mariners since Edgar in 96 to double in six straight games. Gino fly ball left field. This is caught out there by Ward. skimming softly Davidson the backhand a little high but coralled there by Ferris. So the Mariners put two runs across thanks to a two-run double by Jorge Palanco. That was an off speed pitch that he hit for the double. Adele gives this a ride out to left center field and gone. Joe Adele. It’s been a career home run season for the Angels right fielder. They’re happy to have him back in the lineup. Number 36. It’s a one-run game. Modell really coming into his own after a number of Oh, that was pretty filthy. Welcome to the big leagues. Denzor Guzman O2 flicked out towards right center field. Ro having a chase after it and is able to cut it off in the gap that holds him to a single. Runners on the corners on the seventh inning or later. Now this is a little dump job into shallow right field off of the bat of Teodicio. And with that, this game is now tied. A long hold. The one two. He got him. 98. His best yet. Two outs, nothing and two. Crawford lines this sharply. Fair by inches. That kicks off the wall and JP stands up at second base with a double. ends up walking Randy on four pitches and that brings up Cal Raleigh with two outs and now two-1 on a 3-1 way outside not even close. Bases are loaded for Julio. Next pitch to Julio. Strike three called the change up freezes him and the Mariners leave him loaded. A frustrating ending to the second inning. Got him. Breaking ball just off the plate. The strike out starting to stack up now for Brian. Stopping at Dick’s hamburgers on the way home. Swing and a miss. 96 up and away. Clocks to right field. Way back and gone. JP Crawford gives the Mariners the lead. JP got a fast ball two pitches prior and he was shaking his head thinking I should have got that one. 3-2 coming and strike three called. He just got enough of the corner. Jammed in. Works it in for a base hit. 3-2 way outside. Julio reaches for the second time. First two men are aboard in front of Palanco here. Instead, he’s aboard on ball four consecutive walks and the Mariners have him loaded with nobody out. This is pitch number 11 coming to Josh Naylor on the ground and it wiggles through. Cal Raleigh scores. Here’s Julio to the plate. Wow, what an at bat. Josh Naylor bring home two. There goes Naylor. Popped up and this is now kind of a no man’s land. All of a sudden, Adele makes the catch and Naylor gets doubled up. Now, this was not exactly a normal inning in some regards. Strike three called. A career night continues for Brian Woo. Strike out number 11. The 2-2 swing and a miss. A pump of a fist for Brian Woo. A dozen strikeouts tonight. is 2-2. He struck him out. What a night. Brian Woo. 13 strikeouts, six innings of pure domination when the Mariners needed him the most. Strike three called. Even though it was dropped, it was on the corner. goes chasing outside. Back-to-back strikeouts from Peralta. Two runs and 13 punch outs. Gave up a home run against the Cards. Two-run homer. This was hit well, but an add ball right to Adele into right field and Cal make it eight. So, you’re saying you’re not satisfied for their pitcher to be waiting for them to come in? One hopper and JP handles that smooth as always. Two outs. Munoz has gone back to back. Ground ball and Gino has it hit high. Now, Jackson with a very efficient and clean seventh inning. So, six outs to go to the bottom of the seventh. Three-run lead for the Mariners. One-two coming. Hard hit grounder. Smothered. Monata whips a throw. That’s a nice play over there on the hot corner by Yan Mona. Takes a hit away from Cal Rollins. Watch. Little inside out right on Q and Adele makes the catch. But nonetheless, that’s what you’re looking for right there, is it not? Absolutely. Here is Palano off the end of the bat. A soft hopper over to first base. This game moves on to the eighth inning. The Mariners leading 5-2 right to the chest of JP Crawford. Hot potato one away. Young swing and a miss. Ferguson really good work and sat down the first two that he’s faced. He tied him up. That’s a big scoreless inning. What a performance there, Caleb Ferguson. Mariners needed that one. Gino, a quick one, skipper. That was gobbled up by the rookie Guzman. Wow. Popped him up. [Applause] Taylor at third taking over for Manata. Makes the catch. Round number three. Munoz down tonight. Matt Brash when he’s throwing that and landing it for a strike. It’s a tough atbat. Fly ball with distance and this is gone. Taylor Ward leads off the ninth with a home run. That’s a two-run game of the ninth inning. Line left field base hit. Never did throw up a fast ball. Liddell rips a slider into left field [Applause] and now the tie and run coming to the plate. Nobody out. Ground ball. JP flip. Palanco low nailer. Handles. Two outs. Wow. One strike away now. 3-2. ball game. Mariners win. They have won eight straight games. Their seventh consecutive home series win. And the Seattle Mariners remain in first place.
