New York Yankees @ Boston Red Sox | Game Highlights (9/13/25)

Bregman in on the grass at third and that one clips Gisham on the way by so he’ll take first. That one is driven out into right center field on the run is Raphaela. He’s not going to get there. It goes into the triangle and it’s a tough break for the Yankees as it bounces into the seats. So it’ll stop Rice at second and Gisham at third. They green light him here on 3 0. It’s ball four. Liefly ball deep center. Raphaela back on the track. He’ll make the play in front of the Green Monster. Gisham will score. Rice will tag and go to third. Third, a long sack fly for Bellinger. And the Yankees have a first inning run. Tap slowly. Third base. Going to be a tough play. Run scores. A base hit for Chisum. An RBI. Yankees lead two nothing. And the big lefty towing the slab here at Finway Park. Going to be start number 30 on the year. The numbers are great. across the board. Gonzalez lines a single right field. Bellinger will get it in. Lead off single and down goes Bregman. Soft ground ball and Jazz gets story as Gonzalez moves to second. And that’s off for Freed. Scrambles after it. And that’ll do it. Now the Angels will hold their breath and hope that he’s okay. Line drive into center field and Raphaela makes the catch. Swing and a miss. 99 upstairs. Two down and a quick throw to third. Diving back Soard. Swing and a miss on the sinker. Two big strikeouts for Free to work out of a jam. Horn goes. That’s a line drive base hit to center field. There goes Judge. He’s going for third. The throw is high. Nice grab by Bregman, but Judge is in there. Judge at third. Bellinger is at first. Softly served to left field. A base hit for Chisum. Jud scores. Bellinger stops at second. An RBI single for Jazz. And it’s three nothing Yanks. Man, that’s just great hitting. I mean, that to me, that’s maturity and understanding I don’t need to do too much here. And that’s not something I believe the Jazz has always had. Swing and a miss. Strong inning from Max Free as he gets the Red Sox in order. Deep to right field. Eaten back track wall. See youa. A long home run for Jazz Chisum. And the Yankees lead 4 nothing. His 29th home run of the year. I love that little hop that he has when he hits it in his little euro move when he gets it to it. This is not an easy ballpark to hit balls out in right field because it plays so deep. But again, it’s a breaking ball that you’re able to pull and you’re able to hit with power. And look at this. 40 40 and 162. 48 stolen bases. And there was a time for about I don’t know a month and a half. He didn’t run at all this year, but he has been fantastic. Very productive. Shatter bat. Ground ball. There’s one. And there’s two. Fly ball down the right field line giving chases Bellinger and it hits off the pesky pole. A home run for Breman. Red Sox are on the board. It’s 4-1. Ground ball. Cabayro shortly and that’ll do it. But the Red Sox on the board with the home run off the pesky pole. We go to the six. Swing and a miss. And there’s a base hit to center field. Eaton rounds third. He’ll score. So stops at second. Long with an RBI single. And it’s 4-2 Yankees. Luke Weaver comes on. 3-2. Got him. Exactly what you called Joe. change up and he swings through it for a big second out. Oh, what a performance by Luke Weaver. Barking as he walks off the mound, striking out Raphaela and Gonzalez with the tying runs on base. Swings right through it. We’ve played six at Fenway. Yankees four and Boston two. Bench loves it. So does Weaver. [Music] Right to Cababayro and Williams works a one, two, three inning here in the seventh. Let’s go to the eighth. Turn into a nailbiter. 4-2 Yanks. He threw a fast ball split. Fast ball split yesterday. Deep to right field. Bellinger back turning looking. See you. A pinch it home run into the Yankee bullpen. And the Red Sox have pulled to within one. Strike three. Got him on the fast ball. Two balls, two strikes, two outs. Cruz using the whole clock. Deals. Got him on a splitter. Wells to throw to first. Strike out. Put out two three. Cruz gives up the home run to Durand, but that’s all. And we go to the ninth inning. A mega important game for both teams. You think it’s big? Cruz shows you how big it is. 4-3. The walks. The walks are so far down. Like 14 and 55 in a third. Last year he walked 39 up the middle and through past diving soard and a strike. The O2 with the slider. A one, two, all the way to the back stop and Judge will go to second. Scrambling after it is Sanchez. Chapman deals. Chapman stayed in his followrough. Wanted that one, but it was clearly outside. And another 3-2 driven out to left field and deep going back to Ran. He’s going to play it off the wall. A big hit from Bellinger. He’ll go to second with an RBI double. John scores and the Yankees lead by two. High-fly ball. This should do it. Gisham’s there. Gisham makes the play and the Yankees have taken the first two games of this series. A humongous win for the Yankees. And their magic number to make the playoffs is now down to nine. Oh, concrete jungle with dreams of fade out. There’s nothing you can’t do. Count your

  1. Jazz 🎷 m batting .300+ this month. Bellinger vs Chapman was absolutely beautiful. Maximus Prime with a bend and don't break outing. Bronx Bombers 7-4 on the Revenge Tour. Let's try to get the sweep tonight against Crochet. GO YANKEES!!!!#CHASEFOR28

Bonus: NYM are on an serious roll at the moment. 😎

  2. 5 straight big starts for Max Fried. 2 against Boston, 1 against Toronto, 1 against Houston (& the Nats).. Yanks have done what I asked.. Go 8-4 or 7-5 in these huge 12 games. Currently 7-4 w/ 1 to go in Fenway. Needed these 2 wins in Boston!

  3. Obviously, Chapman is the Closer & was already in, but if you’re a Manager & you’re bringing in a Lefty to face Bellinger, you should be fined. He bats .370 vs Lefties & .246 vs Righties..
