Reds vs. Athletics Game Highlights (9/14/25) | MLB Highlights
And it’s going to be young right-hander Luis Morales on the mound for the green and gold this afternoon. Seventh start of the season for Luis Morales. And this has been a very exciting piece to the puzzle. Watch reveal itself this season. Chris Luis Morales. I think we continue to expect great things. One out and now the batter is Noelby Marte. Marte to left field. That’s got some carry and it’s over the wall for a home run. Max Schuman crashed into the fence and it just snuck over that red signage. It’s a one- nothing Reds lead. Number 13 for Noel V Marte. That swing in a nutshell should tell you all you need to know about this ballpark. That ball was hit onehanded and got out of here. It just barely got out. Counts the same. Left-hander on the mound this afternoon for the Cincinnati Reds. Nick Lollo. 26 start for the left-hander. Expect to see him taking the ball as consistently as he has for the Reds. 139 and a third innings. And look at that erra. Chris just north of three. 3.10. Swung on and miss. Change up just off the outside corner, but he got Langalers to go after it out there and he is down on strikes. Looo has his first strike out of the game. And that’s out number two. And Curts is coming up. 31 home runs, 78 RBI’s. He’s played in 104 major league games. and he skies this high in the air center field. Little more routine. Fredle moves under it and he’ll make the catch. Side retired and a one, two, three first inning for Nick Lollo. And that’s outside for ball four. So Lux works the walk. He’s on for Will Benson. Runner at first base with none out. See if the Reds can capitalize. Benson went deep yesterday. Oh, that is cracked right field. Rooker just watches it go in all its glory. Clears the second fence onto the grass burm. That’s the third bomb for Benson on the road trip. Give him a dozen on the year. It’s three nothing Reds. That was a no doubter on the inner third of the plate. Nice easy swing and a powerful jolt to right field. We go the top of the fourth inning. Gavin Lux will lead it off. Lux in the number five spot today. took a base on balls and he came around to score on that long home run by Will Benson. Gavin Lux to right center. That’s going to get down to the gap base hit and it gets by the reaching glove of Thomas. Lux up to second. He’s eyeing three. Lux on his way to third and they totally missed the cut off man. An air mailed throw off the line to third. There’s a triple for Gavin Lux as he halts his over streak at 21. Well, talk about breaking out of a slump in a big way. Gavin Lux roped that ball into the alley and it went right underneath the glove of KBY Thomas. So the Reds now with a golden opportunity to add to that three nothing lead. And hard diving snag by Curts. He keeps everyone where they are. Are you kidding me? Is this dude just doing everything possible? Nick Curts goes 65 plus 250 lbs. Moving around like a cat out there. That was a phenomenal play. There’s Keith Brian Hayes. Breaking ball bounced to short. Wilson’s coming home. Quick throw. MacGyver’s tag is there. An exceptional play by Jacob Wilson. I mean, just a fantastic throw on target and a really nice job by Willie McCyver, folks, to go up and get that ball and get the glove down in time to make the tag. Keep Brian Hayes reached on that fielder’s choice. Jose Trevinho ripped the base hit into the left field. And now a walk to Matt. Mlan has loaded the bases for the leadoff hitter TJ Fredel. Swung out on fly ball to center field. Kobe Thomas coming up to make the catch for the out. And somehow someway Morales finds a way to get out of it. Bottom of the fourth. It’s a three nothing Reds lead as Jacob Wilson will lead things off. Wilson drives one to left. Benson back and Wilson has homered. 13 homers on the season. 59th RBI and the A’s have scored in the fourth. 379 ft. 105 off the bat. Two outs in the fourth. It’ll bring up the center fielder Colby Thomas. Thomas slips it in the air to left. Benson moving back in the sun. He elevates and it’s a Kobe Jack to make it a one-run game. Three to two. That ball just kept traveling and the A’s have a pair of home runs against Looo in the fourth as Thomas hits his sixth home run of the year and his 19th RBI and the A’s now trail by a run. It’s a breaking ball and it was literally a back foot breaking ball I think. So Wilson hit by a pitch and a big strong left-handed hitting Nick Kurt stepping to the dish inside out to left. Benson moving back. He’s still going. Oh my goodness. It’s not supposed to be that easy. The A’s have their first lead of the game. A two-run home run for Kurts. His 32nd of the season and he hammers it the other way against the southpaw looo. I don’t know if folks will ever be able to really truly appreciate what this young man is doing right now, but it is as special as I’ I’ve ever seen. That’s into left field for a base hit. Thomas is on with the leadoff single in the sixth. Oh, and here is Daryl Hern again showing Bunt. Lays one down. Barehanded by Trevinho. Throw to first and they got Hern by half a step. Sacrifice advances Thomas 90 ft. They’re playing the small ball here to try and score some insurance runs against a good Red’s team. Sarah Harris with MacGyver on deck. Ground ball through down the left field line for a hit. Thomas will score. Harris to second base. A three hit performance for Brett Harris. Hern with a selfless at bat puts Kobe Thomas in scoring position and Brett Harris comes up and delivers his third hit of the afternoon. Two out walk. Curts will take his base. That is the first walk issued by Red’s pitching today. That brings Brent Rooker up. That’s swung on a fly ball to center field. Hit well. Freed will go back near the track at the wall and it’s gone. Brennan Rooker with his 29th home run of the year in RBI’s 84 and 85. It was 412 ft 103 off the bat. The A’s now lead 7 to three. The A’s have certainly done their work offensively. The bullpen hasn’t been half bad either. A new reliever coming on to follow up Nukem. It’s Justin Cerner. Sal Stewart leads it off. Crack to left. See you. S Stewart solo shot that cleared the netting to the roof of the clubhouse. That’s a huge home run and it’s seven to four. The Reds just looking for a spark. Might that be it? This young man can swing it. He is fearless and he’s got some thunder. 74 the Reds trail. The series has come down to one thing, home runs. A’s have doubled up the Reds and dingers and total runs. It’s been a 21-9 tsunami. That said, the Reds are down three in this finale. They’ll face Michael Kelly looking for his first major league save. He’s 0 for one in save tries. Fly ball to center. Butler fighting the sun with his glove. And he’s got it. One pitch and one out for Michael Kelly. Three and two on the ground. Backhanded by Wilson. Strong throw to first and they got him. Jacob Wilson goes to the backhand side. No time to set himself and he throws a dart across the diamond to Curts. And that’s out number two. The Reds are down to their final out. Here’s TJ Friedel to center field. Butler coming in and he slides and makes the catch. Ball game over. Series over. Break out the brooms. The A’s have swept the Reds in three games. Well, I think when you looked at it on paper after the Reds won two out of three in San Diego, you thought the Reds were going to come here and they were going to be the ones doing the sweeping. And it has been anything

WS 1990 A'S Vs REDS
Being swept by the A's of all teams is pathetic. Bad ownerships fault๐
Reds might have just taken themselves out of contention with this sweep
Everytime the reds get close to the wild card, they choke.
Una serie entera de oklan
Another quality series sweep by the Green and Gold ๐๐๐๐ผ
A's bats were too much for the Reds
SELL THE TEAM, JOHN FISHER!
let these boys come back to the Bay.
I hope none of these young As players get traded and are able to build some chemistry but either way these guys all got a lot of potential
Thank you Lord for giving us ALL the talents and abilities to perform for your Glory. ๐ Amen.
REDS CAN'T WIN WITH THIS FRONT OFFICE[THEY DON'T WANT TO WIN]
The Athletics are the best offense in the league that 1-20 stretch hurt them so bad man they'd easily be wild card team
Kurtz is a Babe Ruth! If A's didn't lose 20 out of 21, they definitely would be a wild card enforcer!
Scott Barlow will be traded next year๐๐๐
Let's go A's!
Bust the broom out!
A's Always ๐ ๐
8:17 Nope! It's just lets you know San Diego doesn't take care of business when they're supposed to. Thats why they won't be getting past LA for a while.
