  4. I think it was Bam Morris who didn't field a kickoff his rookie year. Cower was head coach. Plaxico Burress spiked the football after a catch, because he thought he was downed by the ground (rookie mistake). It should not happen, but it does.

  6. I told y’all. I told you, I told you, I told you. We are never going anywhere with Tomlin’s defense and Smith’s offense. We have the talent. Coaching is atrocious. We we always be middle of the road. 1st round playoff exit. And we will continue to say how great Tomlin is and how he’s never had a losing season blah blah blah. It’s an excuse to be mediocre. Smith might be a half of a percentage better than Canada but any 12 year old could call better plays.

  11. 5:45 Sadly, that's not true. A Chuck Noll coached team did the same thing on 10/21/1990 when Barry Foster of the Steelers committed the same blunder, and the 49ers picked up the ball completely uncontested at the Steelers 5 yard line at that time; by rule the kicking team cannot advance after recovery. Fortunately, the Steelers didn't give up on Foster afterward, and he became an outstanding player for them.

  17. I remember Barry Foster did the same thing as a rookie. Noll wouldn’t play him after that. Cowher gave him a chance and it worked out ok well for one season at least.

  18. I have to say the haven’t had a good offensive line ever since Coach Muncheck left. The defense hasn’t been good either. It can’t be only on the player’s. It’s time to look at the coaching.
