Looking over the tape and the stats, it seems both line up with the idea that Simons is our best playmaker.
- He averaged more assists per 36 last season than anyone else on our team.
- He did this with very bad teammates, now he has elite shooters next to him
- His passing tape shows a lengthy (6'3 and 6'9 wingspan) and super quick point guard
- He is faster than anyone else on our team with the ball
- He can make *all passes*, great entry passer in the PNR both bounce and over the top
- Overall shows excellent vision, with some creativity as well
- Low turnover rate for how often he handles the ball (2.2 per 36)
What makes Simons unique in our lineup?
- He is 3" taller than Pritchard and much longer
- He is more adept at getting into the paint and is much quicker than White
- He has a better handle and lower turnovers than Jaylen
So what are your thoughts about Simons being our best playmaker and fastest player?
I think Simons playmaking is going to thrive with real NBA all-star talent next to him. He could easily average 7+ assists for us next season IMO. Needless to say I do think he is our best option to start giving his skill set the need for us to showcase him and build his value.
Check out his passing highlights on Timi's youtube and his 14 assists game from last season on youtube as well.

Pritchard will be the starter even tho everything you said is correct.
Simons is still a shoot first guy but his athleticism opens up the floor for others. His defense is really the main flaw
Whatever happens we’re going to see a very different playstyle from the last couple years and I’m excited to see how Joe chooses to do it.
A positive Simons post? You’re in the wrong sub buddy, didn’t you know he’s the worst Celtic since James Young?
There is no data that supports that? Pritchard and Derrick both have higher career AST per 36 while having far lower TOV per 36. His seconds per touch and dribbles per touch are consistently on par with last year Payton an higher than Derrick.

Except for Jayson Tatum. Our primary ball handler. Simons got those assists because he was the primary ball handler and facilitator. If Pritchard or White actually get the ball in their hands, they’ll get more assists. Because they are better at passing, and not the only ones.

PP is faster. White is taller.

White at 1.8, Pritchard at 1.3
He is not the best passer on this team
Let’s maybe chill on the Simons hype until he plays actual minutes in a Celtics jersey. Calling him “our best passer” is just dumb when HES NEVER PLAYED A MINUTE ON THIS TEAM.
FASTPP slander not happening.
Simons Is gona light It up. TD garden’s about to be known as The Green Anferno.
