I know PFF isn't gospel, but it gives a baseline of how a player is performing. Out of 124 DI who have played at least 20% of their teams snaps, Darius Robinson ranks 118th in PFF grade at 39.7. He has recorded a mere 1 pressure and a single tackle.
39 year old Calais Campbell on the other hand has 4 pressures, 2 sacks, and 6 tackles in 16 less snaps. Darius has been an almost complete non-factor and you start to wonder how much longer he will be a starter. I would not be surprised if he has been replaced by Dante Stills by the midpoint of the season.

He’s effectively a redshirt rookie. That gives him some leeway. Does that mean he doesn’t need to step it up? No. He absolutely does. But he’s also got the time to do it

Why are we writing off a young talent after 2 games of football?
I noticed that he doesn’t seem to generate any power. I watched a few plays where he was the only player being pushed back, while everyone else was pushing forward. I’m not an expert, but he doesn’t seem to be doing well.

If he’s invisible all season maybe but everyone says he had a great training camp. Real football is different but he has the capacity to be great and a full season of getting real reps in and being mentored by Calais helps alot.
You mean an all time great HOF player is playing better than effectively a rookie who hasn’t even played for a full season at a position that can take some guys a year or 2 to learn? 😱 But I would still definitely like to see more out of D-Rob
He’s young, but not THAT young, this is his second year learning this scheme now, and he’s also playing a position where people usually either got it, or they don’t, it’s pretty rare you see guys at this position start bad and become good, they usually either just are what they are, or show a little growth, going from okay to pretty good, or from pretty good to really good, but from where he’s at today even just becoming mediocre feels like far from a sure thing, actually becoming good feels highly unlikely.
Of course, anythings possible, in Gannon we trust, but I’ve seen enough of him that I really do have significant concerns he’s trending toward bust. Maybe a position change will help him, as it once did for Haason Reddick who was also trending toward bust before the change, or maybe he just needs more time as many are arguing, but I can’t pretend I didn’t wish we took Cooper DeJean over him at the time, and he’s done nothing since then to change my mind. Even more so now that our CB depth is being tested. As long as he’s on our roster, though, I’ll continue to hold out hope that he figures things out.

He clearly has a lot to learn, I’d be more concerned if he doesnt improve in year 3 or 4.
Not giving up on him yet. Last year was pretty much a wash. People love throwing labels out there immediately. It’s still a small sample size.
It’s concerning, because d-linemen have an easier transition from college to the NFL compared to other positions.
And yeah, he’s gonna get benched if he keeps this up.
