[Schefter] ESPN sources: Bengals QB Joe Burrow will need toe surgery that will sideline him a minimum of three months.

  1. One game at a time mentality. Vikings look very beatable so try and pull out a road win in Minnesota to start.

  2. You gotta feel for him. He worked so hard and finally had a normal offseason and then this shit happens. Fucking blows

  3. Well…I guess he’ll be locked and loaded for the playoff run then. Super Bowl MVP.

Can he win the Comeback Player of the Year award within a season?

  4. I don’t even know what to say. His foot exploded on a routine sack in week 2. You can say whatever you want about our lackluster oline, but there’s no way to prevent this if he’s going to suffer catastrophic injuries on routine plays before the wear and tear of the season has even set in.

I’m not sure what the answer is, but durability and longevity is becoming a serious concern.

  5. This is fucked. Why did we choose this cursed fucking team. I hate this shitty fucking sport. Cincinnati as a whole, sports will never be enjoyable here.

  6. Bengals are cursed.

With bad front office, sure, but also, our star, generational QB is made of glass. I hate to say it, but so many different injuries — going back to college. Just sucks. This man is being wasted.

  7. I mean really. What the fuck lol. Wait for months for football, get all excited, then your QB falls weird and his toe explodes and the season essentially ends after 10 minutes of the first quarter of the 2nd game.

Oh well. I had a much more “pressure is off, have fun” energy last time browning started. No expectations.

  8. I hate myself for supporting this god forsaken franchise for damn near 40 years.

    Oh well 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Let Jake Bake I guess

  9. Time to ask some tough questions about the frailty of our franchise qb. In two weeks he’ll have missed more career games than Tua. Some of this is the OL fault but it’s not all their fault. Lamar, Hurts and Allen for example choose to run a lot and take hits. For some reason he just breaks so easily.

  10. I can’t decide if JB9 is injury prone or if he takes way more hits than a normal QB and that’s what causes him to get hurt every other season. Hope for a speedy recovery

  11. I love Joe but can’t help but notice that all the times hes gotten injured his backups went in, played pretty decent and somehow never ended up getting injured behind the same OL… he has a durability issue and he doesn’t always play like he’s aware of it. And its crucial that he adjusts his play style to accommodate for that to ensure that he makes it through a full season… at this point its a sure thing he will have missed more games to injury than he played in the nfl.

  12. Trying to find a bright side…we’re 2-0 and he didn’t really contribute to either of those victories

  13. This whole thing makes that suoer bowl loss that much harder to swallow. We were right there. We almost had it. Had we won that, these last few seasons wouldn’t be so devastating. Because so many things have to go right for that to happen again and I don’t see it coming together again. I think we really miss our old safeties like Jessie Bates for starters. The defense and offense are never in sync at the same time. One is on fire while the other is dead and vice versa.

  14. I love Joe and I want him to be one of the greatest ever. But at some point the saying “availability is the best ability” holds weight. A combination of bad luck, FO, coaching… shit just sucks
