Best team in baseball….
Smart decision. Would have been gifting the Sox a run
Why isn’t Berlinger playing right and Trent in CF?
Get on national TV and they start playing like losers.
They’re not going to be great every night. They needed to win 2 of 3 and they did it. Expecting to beat Crochet with Warren was wishful thinking.
Genuinely could not be any less impressed with a baseball player than Austin slater and yet for some reason he’s leading off for a playoff team lmfao
Insert Jazz quote here lol
I think the infielders chose not to catch it so the run wouldn’t score, that’s got to be caught by the right fielder or no one
shocker…
they have a read on Warren and he’s also throwing meatballs up in the zone. Boone is gonna “trust his guy” and this will be a bloodbath
Jazz quote aging poorly so quickly 😆
It’s right in front of us
That would’ve been a sacrifice fly. It wouldn’t have been smart to catch
Why are we continuing to play Slater with his .245 average
Elite defense from the best team in baseball.
Slater has to have that
RF ball every time
Ive been a fan since the late 80s and watching games on wpix 11 with my grandfather. This could be the first time I find myself hating the team. Im glad football is here so I can spend less time on baseball and more time on the fresh NFL season
This isn’t the shame post you think it is.
It was the best decision to not allow a tag-up and the runner to score from third.
I love Jazz, but he always makes bold statements and then proceeds to play like dog shit.
lol
Perhaps if this game had been on YES, we’d be playing better. National TV has jinxed us tonight.
I love all the comments of people who don’t know baseball thinking the players are just dumb and didn’t unintentionally let the ball drop for strategic reasons….
I’m more of an basketball fan than baseball but man, these fake baseball fans really telling on themselves lol
I wouldn’t want to run into ~~Big G~~ either.
ETA: never-mind it’s Austin Slater for some reason
It’s right in front of us.
if judge was there his making a top 10 sports center play
Elite defense
clown ass defense.
Damn we partied too hard last night wowza
This thread exposing all the doomers, confirming they truly don’t know baseball and just follow the easy narrative lmao
Secong and third, with no out? Why would they catch it?
The right fielder needs to call the other guys off if he can make the play….this is stuff you learn in little league

Your lack of ball knowledge is showing
Sabrina, don’t just stare at it. Catch it.
there’s a runner on third with no outs lol the fuck you on about?
Smart play. Not smart post.
RF all the way
That hurt to watch. Thanks for putting it back up. Really twists the knife.
They catch that, another run scores. The run will be allowed to tag from third. Letting it drop was the right move.
Like Aaron Boone once said: It’s *smacks table* right in front of us!
It was right in front of them
Good thing they didn’t catch it. It would have given Boston another run.
This is literally the right way to do this play I swear? If they catch it the runner can tag up and score? Best thing any of them can do is track it so they can catch it if it is going to land in fair territory and leave it if it is landing in foul territory – like all 3 of them did.
You’re all saying dont catch is so the runner on 3rd doesn’t score but that is NOT deep at all. Anyone of the could have caught it and thrown home to keep the runner, Id even be surprised if the Sox even send the runner with the play being that shallow
