Don’t lose faith in the Mets just yet

The Mets end their eight-game losing streak. Cincinnati loses and gets swept by the A’s. This is the thing, Met fans. As much as you hate this team, or as much as you have lost faith, let me not say hate, cuz I don’t know if you’re there yet with this owner, this GM, this team, as ugly as it’s been, and maybe you do hate them, but you’re certainly disappointed and frustrated with them. And as much as you might have lost faith, and it’s hard to keep faith, and even I’ve lost faith in the team, here’s the bottom line. the teams that are chasing you aren’t very good and despite losing all these games yesterday went in your favor and you are still ahead in this this wild card race and again the teams chasing you. Yeah, the Giants were hot. They just lost two out of three to the Dodgers and they play them another four games and yeah, you lost the tiebreaker to the Cincinnati Reds. They got swept by the A’s in games they desperately need. And yes, the Arizona Diamondbacks, I suppose, have thrusted themselves back into the conversation. I don’t think they’re very good either. And I know that’s not what you want to hear, that your saving grace is that the other teams suck, but that just happens to be the truth. And as bad as it’s been and as bad as this rotation is and this offense and everything else in the bullpen continues to blow leads and you’re relying on two starters right now who are pitching well in these young kids in in Mlan and Sprro, I still think that I still think we will be watching the Mets play a wild card series on the road because I just can’t imagine them blowing this thing. I just can’t imagine it even even

  2. I’m frustrated with Stearns and how arrogant he is. To think we didn’t need a starting pitcher or two at either the deadline or the offseason was bananas. He has to do better with his arrogant smile. Because as Mets fans, we showed up when cohen called us oit

  4. It’s a joke that any team that winds up finishing a season with say 5 games over 500 should even be able to compete for a World Series spot, it laughable.
