Mike Vrabel gets game ball after first win as Patriots head coach
>> RUNNING BACK RHAMONDRE STEVENSON BACK DOWN HERE IN MIAMI. STEVE BURTON ALONGSIDE MIKE REESE. YOU JUST CAME FROM THE LOCKER ROOM. YEAH. WHAT DID YOU TAKE OUT OF THERE? WHAT DID YOU LEARN FROM THERE? >> SOME GOOD STUFF BEHIND THE SCENES TO RELAY TO EVERYONE WATCHING AT HOME. OWNER ROBERT KRAFT WAS IN THE LOCKER ROOM, AND I HAD THE GAME BALL AND PRESENTED IT TO MIKE VRABEL FOR HIS FIRST WIN AS PATRIOTS COACH. AND I ASKED SOME OF THE PLAYERS, YOU KNOW, WHAT WAS THAT LIKE? AND THEY TALKED ABOUT HOW MEANINGFUL IT WAS FOR THEM TO SEE IT BECAUSE THEY REALLY LIKE VRABEL, YOU KNOW, AS THEIR LEADER. AND I ALSO LEARNED THAT VRABEL WAS HANDING OUT SOME GAME BALLS EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THAT. AND ONE OF THE GAME BALLS HE GAVE OUT WAS TO ZACH KERR, THE INSIDE LINEBACKERS COACH WHO STEPPED IN TO CALL HIS FIRST GAME ON DEFENSE. SO I LIKE SOME OF THOSE BEHIND THE SCENES STUFF, STEVE, AND TO TO SEE HOW THE PLAYERS RESPOND TO THAT, BECAUSE I THINK, YOU KNOW, WE’RE EARLY IN THE SEASON. IT’S THE SECOND WEEK OF THE SEASON. YOU’RE BUILDING A TEAM. PLAYERS, COACHES, EVERYONE COMING TOGETHER. I THINK THIS TYPE OF GAME WHERE IT GOES BACK AND FORTH AND YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT THE FINAL RESULT IS GOING TO BE. YOU DON’T NECESSARILY PLAY GREAT AT TIMES. YOU MAKE BIG PLAYS AT OTHER TIMES. I THINK THESE TYPE OF GAMES CAN HELP THAT TEAM COME TOGETHER. YOU KNOW THAT MUCH MORE. >> I’M TELLING YOU ONE THING, THEY DIDN’T QUIT AND THE OTHER THING IS, YOU KNOW, YEAR IN AND YEAR OUT, YOU’VE SEEN THIS TEAM LOSE DOWN HERE. YES A BIG WIN FOR THIS FOOTBALL TEAM TO GET OVER THAT HUMP TO YOU KNOW, ERASE THE. CURSE DOWN HERE YEAR IN AND YE
Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel greeted every Patriots player before they entered the locker room after Sunday’s win over the Dolphins in Miami. Vrabel got the game ball from owner Robert Kraft after his first win as Patriots head coach, and had a few game balls to hand out himself after the victory.

Whatβs Bret Baier doing here
Lets go!! Excellent grinding out the win fellas!!!!!
Here's the take away from this game: Week 5. If you want to have a season and be relevant in December, Week 5. Today you avoided going 0-4. you increased your chances of not going 1-3 or 2-2 by Week 5. Next weeks game against the Steeler could be the most pivotal game of the season because if you can win that game, you have a very good chance at then beating Caroline in Week 4, thus going into the Buffalo game at 3-1 and then playing that game as an underdog with nothing to lose and worse case scenario, you leave week 5 at 3-2. Then you have a season because you have some tomato cans coming up in the schedule. It is necessary to beat Pittsburg this week. By week 5, you will have played just under 1/3 of the season and at 3-1, you will have roughly 1/3 of the wins you would need to be in contention until the final week of the season and be on pace for 9.5 wins. The Buffalo game does not matter if you are 3-1 going into it. A win is terrific, but a loss does not hurt you. If you take care of business against the teams you should beat the rest of the way, and lose to who is better than you, you are still in contention and on pace for 9.5 wins. If you capitalize on mistakes against better teams, you could win 10-11 games and be in.
This Pittsburg game sets the stage for the rest of the season and at week 3, may be the most important game you play all regular season.
