Matt Verderame if you’re not aware is a big Chiefs fan football analyst who is my favorite cause he’s no BS telling it like it is positive but also will call out the bullshit if he see’s it that way. He’s making it clear that KC will not be explosive again on offense cause they don’t have and probably won’t ever have the talent levels of Hill & Kelce from earlier years of the Mahomes era ever again so they need to adjust their offensive approach to having a true run game with an elite RB defenses must respect, game plan to stop first that would allow more open downfield passing windows referencing Baltimore, Philadelphia, Buffalo & Detroit’s top tier offenses all having elite RB’s next to their QB’s with Lamar & Allen not having the best crop of pass catchers but the RB run game threat + their legs allows those WR’s more open targets downfield and look better.

Matt Verderame is no BS? But he blocks people for proving him wrong on twitter? lol.
I don’t think Veach or Reid expected this drop off from Pacheco & Hunt
Pacheco would be a hell of a lot better if he learned to follow lead blockers and not just try to bust every run to the outside. He doesn’t have the speed for that.
The constant rambling about the offense in week 2 when WR1 and 2 are not on the field is top 10 idiot behavior.
Trade for Bijan. Got it.
reminder that every time we’ve needed a big play this year, we’ve gotten a big play. pat is 3/9 on throws 20+ yards down the field with 3 big time throws, 0 turnover worthy plays, and a 119 passer rating. (it’s also the depth with his highest grade on pff, if you put any weight into those ratings). he’s also 4/6 on passes 10-19 yards down field with a 149 passer rating.
we don’t have explosive plays bc we can’t run the ball. we don’t have explosive plays bc nagy and reid have designed our offense to not feature explosive plays.
The lacking run game is massive but just in general this offense has been ass for nearly two years. Every single drive looks like it takes so much effort just to get first downs. We barely have any plays that end up ripping off for a bunch of yardage. It’s been so boring.
Passes hardly go past the sticks for some reason. We are constantly just throwing screens that go absolutely no where because for some reason there are no blockers, or throwing passes short of the sticks when we need a first down.
3rd and wylie for achane
Watching Baker throw to 4 WRs better than our WR1 is just painful.
Didn’t we draft an RB? Why isn’t he getting carries?
Are there any realistic trade targets? I thought corum on the rams looked really good this week. They might let him go
I said it before, I’ll say it again. GET. RID. OF. NAGY!
Our offense has been crap and stalled ever since we let Beinemy go and got Matt Nagy. I never liked him as a coach, I never liked how he was with the Bears, and I just get bad vibes from him at all times. Get rid of him, PLEASE!!!!!
Trade a case of athletic tape to the Saints for Devin Neal. He isn’t playing there and he’d be our best RB.
RBs would look better if we had Rice catching 8 yard passes and running for 8 more.
To run the offense they want to run Mahomes has to be in shotgun for most of it. The quick screens etc require it.
It’s harder to run out of shotgun. Pacheco doesn’t run behind blockers so even when it is a good run it doesn’t go great.
Not only the run game, but the screen game as well. Remember how original the screens used to be? How teams always talked about needing to be ready for them? Jet sweeps. Shovel passes. Etc. Etc. All of it is completely gone from the offense and has been for the last two years. What happened? And people love to say EB was the reason but this has always been Andy Reid offense and EB hasn’t exactly showered himself in glory away from Reid.
This RB room is 32. Nothing else to say. Taylor was EASILY the top RB.
I wonder how much losing Joe Thuney has really hurt the run game, creating gaps, timing etc.
It’s stuff we all agree upon except Andy. The team needs to run it more often.
Problem is RBs 1 & 2 just aren’t really good anymore.
Our only real hope is that the 7th round flyer turns out to be a solid back. But thus far it doesn’t seem like Andy is much interested in finding out what the kid has. Andy not playing a rookie much and certainly not featuring a RB much. Shocking.
Whiffing on CEH didnt help
This was the class to grab a running back to make things easy and they just didn’t
Chiefs could’ve tried to pick up chubb
Well I do think our rbs would benefit more from a single back formation where they can get some down field motion and we let our frankly very strong O line to play like bull dozers…..
The problem is, Andy does not. Does not. Change his philosophy and his philosophy is pass first.
We need more Gore!!!!
