SEPTEMBER BASEBALL! 😱 Late inning DRAMA between the Phillies and Dodgers (BIG home runs!) 💪
Strike on bats. High drive to left center field. This ball’s got a chance. It is gone. It is tied. It is Mookie Bats. Mookie B just continues this terror. He’s responsible for three of the four runs the Dodgers have come in with tonight. Last one a shot. And he’s at bats to center field. Two sacrifice flies to bring in a couple. Bryce Harper swings through the first pitch and it’s 0 and one. Ben Wart is the new catcher. They’ve also changed up their outfield as well. Confor stays in the game. He’s in left field. Alex Call moves from left field to right field. One ball, one strike. Bessie has been pretty effective, but particularly effective against left-handers. 145 they’re hitting against him with a 188 on base percentage. Harper fights it off. Hits it foul. Betsy got away with one. But he hung it too much. Sort of our version of Matt Strom. Alex Vessie. He’s sort of the comp. Fly ball right center field. That’s hit well. Going back is called it is gone. Home run. Bryce Harper and the Phillies have retaken the lead. Almost the same spot as Schwarber’s home run. Wow. This is just fantastic work by the Phillies. So resilient. Harp gets a fast ball up in the zone and he jumps on it. Really attacks it nicely. Gets his hands above it and drives it. doesn’t hit it right on the barrel, but he’s so strong and creates so much bat speed that he drives it out of this ballpark here at Chavez Ravine. You can see the emotion for Bryce Harper. He loves to have these kind of moments.
