Don’t worry about Tom Willander’s early struggles

Everybody’s worried about Tom Lander and everybody’s masking it behind, oh, it’s fine. It’s just a prospect. No, no, everybody’s worried, terrified of Tomander being a bust. I’m here to say that’s not going to be the case. No, I’m not I’m not going to say that explicitly, but what I am going to say is yes, I didn’t like him like his game, especially on the Saturday. Uh I thought he really struggled. I’m trying to understand Tom Mander better. And basically my read through some limited viewings, but my read on to Tomlander is that he’s a good skater, but he doesn’t yet like think the game, but it comes quickly. A guy I want to bring everybody’s attention to is Elias Patterson. I will remind everybody at this time last year, I was on this very podcast and I wasn’t saying that I wasn’t I wasn’t alone in saying this. I watched Elias Patterson at camp. You watched Elias Pas at training camp and we both said, “Oh, that dude ain’t ready.” Like, it’s going to take him some time to get to the NHL. Then I went and saw him in November, December out in Abbottzford playing first pair of minutes and I said, “This guy’s ready for the NHL.” There’s different there’s little things that you pick up playing the pro game that once you have them and you have the tools that a guy like Person that a guy like Willander has, when you have those tools and you start to put the rest together, that’s when you start to be, okay, this guy needs to be playing NHL games. Person’s there right now. Elias Patterson’s there. Tomander could be there soon. I don’t think he’s there yet, but I don’t think this is a, oh, you got to wait one or two years. You might, but it could also be as fast as we saw it for Elias Patterson because I thought Person was about at this level last year,
