We got WNBA playoffs and MLB action early this week. We’ve got college football week four and NFL week three coming up this week, too. So, make sure that you jump on board. Remember to use the promo code pick at checkout and get 15% off your purchase. But let’s get to this one between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Los Angeles Angels. The Milwaukee Brewers sending out Freddy Peralta for the start in this one while the Angels will counter with Kaden Dana. And Dana’s been used limited action this season, more of a bullpen arm, but sort of mixed results. But as a starter, historically, Dana has not been a great option. He’s given up five runs in three of his last four career starts. This time out or last time out against the Milwauke the Minnesota Twins gave up five runs on five hits with five walks. Did have nine strikeouts over four and two/3s but gave up a home run as a pair of home runs as well. And you just look at the outings for Dana so far this year. You know, four appearances the runs have been an issue. Usually uh good to give up, you know, one run per inning more often than not. And I think that could be an issue here against a Milwaukee lineup that is still finding ways to produce. You know, they’re hitting 279 against righties in the last two weeks. Basically, in the month of September, their team OPS numbers are, you know, still just outside the top five. They’re hitting very well. It’s just the isolated power numbers that are lagging a little bit behind, but still think that they can get to Kaden Dana here. And I just do not see data matching zeros with Freddy Peralta who has just been so strong at home this season to where you know you look at the home and road splits for Peralta at home a 1.72 ERA across 15 starts an 8-1 record a 194 opponent’s batting average the opponent’s batting average is pretty much the same home and away 192 on the road but he does have a 3.71 erra away from home this season so an erra that’s two runs better at American family field this season and this Angels lineup just looks lost. I mean, they have a 32% strikeout rate against righties in the month of September, which is huge cuz that is Peralta’s bread and butter. You know, the uh the batting average is is has bottomed out at 212. That’s fourth worst in baseball in September. The team OPS numbers aren’t very good. The isolated power numbers are okay, but not good enough for me to want to be able to back them here. Like I said, especially with that strikeout rate against right-handed pitching in the month of September. So, I’m going to roll with the Brewers on the run line in this one. It’s hard to find value in this series or in this matchup, I think. But for me, it’s it’s Milwaukee run line or nothing in this one. And that’s going to be my free pick.
