2025 Columbus Blue Jackets Golf Classic Recap 🏒
All right, let’s do it. We’re here at beautiful Double Eagle Golf Course for our foundation tournament. Um, very excited for today. Obviously, we have a lot of fun with this. This is one of our if not biggest fundraisers of the year and um to do it before training camp this year feels feels great to kind of kick off the year in such a good way and um knowing how much the foundation uh supports our community and for us players to come out here have some fun with it. This is always an incredible day for the foundation because it brings together the players and the coaches with our supporters of the foundation. They play golf and have a great time and it raises money for the foundation. And that’s important for us. It’s one of our largest fundraisers and allows us then to in turn apply those to uh grants in the community and make an impact in the community. This being our uh our 25th anniversary year, it it’s it’s actually really um you know, exciting to see how much uh you know, not only the organization and the city has grown, but but the foundation as well. and and you know, you start seeing all the hockey rinks around town and and uh you know, the different projects pop up and the playgrounds and you know, the different minor hockey charities that that the Blue Jackets help out. It’s it’s really cool to see from uh from where it was in 2002 when I first got to town. It’s special. Obviously, 25 years and um you know, myself being fortunate enough to be here for heading into my 13th year. um seeing, you know, day in day out going around the community and seeing how much the foundation does and events like this, how far it can go in the community. And it really feels like when you’re, you know, part of the Blue Jackets, you’re part of the community and and vice versa. You know, there’s been so many people over the years that have had such an impact and an imprint on this uh foundation, on this organization, and um it seems after 25 years, it just keeps getting better and better.
