AND HE DID GET TWISTED AROUND. I THOUGHT MAYBE HE WOULD HAD A KNEE ISSUE AT 1 POINT, HE GOT BENT BACKWARD IN AN AWKWARD WAY. HE WAS UNDER SIEGE THE WHOLE REPORTEDLY OUT 2 TO 4 WEEKS, CARSON WENTZ, WHO JUST ARRIVED 3 WEEKS AGO, THEY HAD SAM HOWELL, THEY HAD BRETT RIPPING, THEY HAD UNDRAFTED ROOKIE MAX BRASMER. WHO’S GOING TO BE THE BACKUP? WELL, IT WAS ALMOST LIKE, YOU KNOW, THE GLENGARRY, GLEN ROSS DEAL, THE WINNER GETS THE STAKE KNIVES. THE LOSER HOWELL’S GONE, BRETT RIPPING GONE BRASMER STILL THERE. THEY BRING CARSON WENTZ IN OFF THE STREET AND AND LOOK, MY TAKE ON IT, WHEN IT HAPPENED WAS THEY’RE KIND OF ACKNOWLEDGING, THEY SCREWED THIS UP BECAUSE WHY WOULD YOU BRING WENTZ IN, IN LATE AUGUST, WHEN YOU COULD HAVE HAD HIM? THROUGHOUT YOUR OFFSEASON PROGRAM THROUGHOUT TRAINING CAMP. GET HIM REPS IN PRESEASON GAMES. GET HIM READY TO GO. I DON’T KNOW HOW READY TO GO. HE IS HE STARTED 94, NFL REGULAR SEASON GAMES. IS HE READY TO RUN THIS OFFENSE AT SOME POINT? MAYBE BROSAMER IS THE BETTER CHOICE AND I FEEL LIKE IF IT’S A MONTH, DEVIN, THE JJ MCCARTHY IS OUT. WE’VE SEEN THIS MOVIE BEFORE. JOSH DOBS, BURNED, BRIGHT, AND THEN AND NICK MULLENS. SO MAYBE CARSON WENTZ CAN WIN A GAME OR 2 BUT ONCE HE STARTS THROWING LEFT-HANDED INTERCEPTIONS IN HIS OWN END ZONE, THAT’S WHEN KEVIN OCONELL IS GOING TO BE GET HERE AND LET’S TRY MAX BROSMER. WHEN I WAS DOWN IN THE PRESEASON, JOSH MACAU WAS A RAVING ABOUT MAX BROSAMER AND I’M SURE THERE’S A LITTLE FEELING THAT HE’S JUST NOT READY YET. BUT I GOT TO IMAGINE THE WAY HE PLAYED THROUGHOUT THE PRESEASON AWAY AT A STAFF. I THINK FEELS ABOUT HIM. I DON’T KNOW HOW MUCH OF A LEASH CARSON WENTZ IS GOING TO HAVE, BUT I COULD SEE, I COULD SEE THIS KID GETTING IN THERE AND PLAYING. I MEAN MACAU AGAIN, HE WAS, HE WAS ADAMANT ON, HE THINKS THIS GUY IS GOING TO HAVE A LONG CAREER IN THE NFL, JUST HIS WORK ETHIC, WHAT HE CAN DO ON THE FIELD. I’M NOT, I’M NOT ENTIRELY SOLD ON CARSON WENTZ. I THINK EVERYONE BELIEVES OR GIVES IT A CHANCE BECAUSE KEVIN OCONELL HAS BEEN THAT GOOD AT WHOEVER’S BEEN THE QUARTERBACK. THEY’VE BEEN THEY’VE BEEN SERVICEABLE BUT I I DON’T KNOW HOW MUCH CARSON WENT TO WILL BE OUT THERE BEFORE THEY’RE THEY’RE WILLING TO PUT HIM IN MAX BROSMER. AND I’LL SAY THIS, I WROTE IT LAST NIGHT AND I BELIEVE IT WHEN JJ MCCARTHY COMES BACK, LET’S SAY HE DOES MISS A MONTH AND HE COMES BACK RIGHT AFTER WEEK 6. WEEK 7 WEEK 8 WEEK 9 TRADE DEADLINES THE TUESDAY AFTER WEEK 9. YOU GOTTA BRING KIRKO HOME AND SAVE THE SEASON IF MCCARTHY DOESN’T GET THIS THING, FIGURED OUT TO SAY, WE’RE GOING TO PUT A PIN IN THIS. WE’RE TRYING TO MAXIMIZE OUR FORTUNES FOR NOW. KIRK COUSINS IS AVAILABLE. WE CAN PLUG HIM RIGHT BACK IN. I CAN’T BELIEVE I’M SAYING IT, BUT AT SOME POINT, THEY NEED TO HAVE. Until they're able to fix the o-line issues, no QB can operate this offense. Even Kirk will get destroyed if he's back with this team. Their offensive line is terrible!
B R O S M E R. It was only preseason but he was so fast and decisive on every play. Super quick release even if he doesn't have a canon for an arm. McCarthy seems stunned by information overload when he's reading the field.

uhKirk uhCousins time. Can't waste a year of a win now window of contention just to piddle around with QBs who can't get the job done. Falcons are gonna push their finger on the scale but that's the cost of contention. It'll give JJ a real year to develop too. To be honest I'm not sure if he ever will though. Out of his 8 quarter NFL career 7 of those quarters looked downright horrendous. And Florio is right. There's never been a draft in NFL history that has had 6 good quarterbacks who didn't go bust. JJ's draft already looks like it has 5. It's very unlikely all 6 work out and of the 6 the one most likely to go bust is clearly JJ. At this point you have to figure the Vikings would be willing to trade JJ straight up for Bo Nix even though they passed on him. It's the Broncos who wouldn't take JJ. Time to go get Captain Kirk back! He already knows the system too so he's a perfect fit. Better get it done before the Bengals beat the Vikings to it. Once it becomes a bidding war the price is only gonna get higher.

I say give Wentz an opportunity over Kirk. Kirk had Thiielen, Diggs, and Jefferson for a while and people seem to forget he has many opportunities to take us far, but didnt. If Wentz doesn't work out then let Bosmer play. If both don't work out then vikings just have to take the L for the season and accept they messed up letting Darnold go.

Max Brosmer is the most ready of the QBs that we have. He played most of the third preseason game and part of the other games. No other QB has had any reps. Also give Scott the ball let him run.
