It’s very strange to me that the popular r/NBA opinion is still that Rui isn’t that good of a shooter. He’s one of the most consistent shooters in the league – doesn’t take hard shots but makes the ones he’s supposed to make. Dude shoots 48.5% from 3 in the playoffs, has some self-creation ability, statistically one of the best cutters in the league, and his post presence is very needed. I think his defense has gotten better too. There’s no world in which we should include him in a package for Wiggins. This team does not want lateral-at-best moves.

Keep these two. Trade Vando Maxi Gabe and a first for Wiggins. New Lineup: Luka – Reaves – Wiggs- Bron -Ayton. Bench: Smart – Knecht – Laravia – Rui -Hayes. This is a championship level starter group and a decent bench with Rui. Jake and Marcus will be good too. Dalton’s value will increase and he will likely be moved for a solid package this deadline. Lakers in 5.
