[Slater] The message from Jonathan Kuminga and his agent Aaron Turner to the Warriors this week: Flip the team option to a player option and Kuminga will sign deal and buy-in to mission of getting Steph Curry another title. GSW has been reluctant to add a player option in any offer.

Year 5 btw. This shit is so embarrassing
Warriors aren’t anywhere close to a ring
This shit never ends man
Kuminga is not a good enough player to warrant 4 threads per day about his contract situation.
Kuminga: Care about me just a little and I’m in
Warriors: …no.
Neither side wants to remain in this business relationship, and yet its getting dragged out. Just end it and let him leave bruh. Your coach doesnt even like playing him. Truly a waste of everyones time
Like with Jalen Green, the player option makes it a bad deal because it eliminates the upside for the team.
If he breaks out, he’ll opt out and have to be paid. If he doesn’t break out, he’s probably not worth the deal.
Also, his agent framing this as necessary for Kuminga to “buy in” to the mission of winning a title is such bad optics.
Lol he wont actually tho
Swap him for someone who accepts the role, go see if u can flip Wiggins contract and fillers or soemthing
LOL yeah because changing it to a player option does that to people
Seems like a no brainer. Warriors get their contract that can be traded, Kuminga gets his player option and is even willing to be a team player vs only wanting to be traded.
He should buy into the mission of getting himself a title. Just make the deal and then trade him. Scrub
I am confused. Is this the same Kuminga that’s been there this whole time?
They need to just trade him and either watch more film on younger high IQ’d players that can help them during a 82 game stretch or just get someone young like Kuminga who cost less and just as efficient. Dude isn’t worth all of this time especially with all the talent coming into the nba rn. Dudes irrelevant 5 years from now.
Man I wished we can post gif..
There are so many gifs that can be used showing how Curry will feel about Kuminga as his guy for a push for a championship.
Meanwhile the Nuggets when Booth was GM…
Just put Kuminga on INJ and end this
We thought we are talking about Kevin Durant with how long this is dragging
This Kuminga Cap holder beef feels like endless. Honestly, if GSW doesn’t want him, why don’t just let him become a UFA. This QO negotiation has prevented GSW from making any meaningful addition for the nearly whole offseason.
Kuminga’s gonna shoot less than 40% this year
Sign the qualifying offer and move on to next year. Warriors depth is garbage and they’ll have to give Kuminga minutes
Can the Warriors offer him a player options already so we don’t have to keep hearing about their off-season?
Hopefully this ends because the season is like really soon, Warriors have to bite the bullet and take Monk or O’Neale.
I’m just tired of this drama at this point. With all the news constantly about this, you’d think we’re talking about Luka’s trade shifting the balance of powers in the nba.
I don’t get it. How is this guy some major piece here lol
Yeah, and I also just saw he has ZERO interest playing for GS ever again
Why should the “buy-in mission” be to get someone else a ring that already has 4 rings? Is that supposed to make a player excited?
Did I miss something? Is Kuminga that great of a player or what?
Let him go …. Good grief.
Is it really that bad giving him a player option? There is no conceivable immediate turn around after the Steph era anyway and the market isnt that great for both parties. I wont be surprised if the Horford signing doesnt come thrpugh while Melton/GP2 are the only players that are probably gonna sign in after JK.
