REACTION: The Steelers Are Signing LB Ja’Whaun Bentley To Help Out Their Run Defense! #shorts
The Pittsburgh Steelers are making yet another signing here today. This time for a starting caliber player, or at least somebody that has been a starting caliber player in his career. Jawan Bentley, the inside linebacker, the thumper, the hammer, the rundefender, 250 lbs, savvy veteran, longtime starter in this league. Last year got hurt in week two. He tore his pectoral muscle and then uh the New England Patriots with a new regime coming in ended up cutting Bentley uh this off season. And so now he comes into a Steelers team that is in desperate need of uh thumping run defense presence uh in the inside linebacker room. Patrick Queen, Pton Wilson, two undersized linebackers haven’t been able to get the job done throughout the first two weeks. Cole Hulkcom, of course, coming off a major knee injury. The Steelers wanted to go out and get somebody here in Bentley uh that’s going to be able to move some people in run defense. So big time signing for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
