The Miami Dolphins Coach Staff Is 1000x Worse Than We Thought
[Music] This is an interesting video here at Dolph today by chat sports. I’m your host Nick Rolloloff because it is time to pack it up folks. Details have emerged of the playersonly meeting that the Dolphins roster had after NFL week 1. And after you hear some of these details, there is no other conclusion that can be made other than this Dolphins coaching staff is horrific and it needs to be absolutely sent to the moon and ownership has no choice. Albert Brier was the NFL insider who had some of these notes. Let me read this long quote. My understanding is that there was a message from the captains to the rest of the team about accountability. And it was about accountability to each other and accountability to yourself. More or less it was the NFL is going to judge you regardless of your circumstances, regardless of your coaching. The NFL is going to judge you in a vacuum. in that it’s on everybody to take personal responsibility and more or less rank closing ranks and saying this isn’t about anybody else but the players and sometimes that happens at the end for coaches you know so I think you know that message received by the players in that building you want to talk about an absolute nail in the coffin for Mike McDaniel if that report is true which I am going to believe it is because why else Would you have a players only meeting after one week of the NFL season? They basically just absolutely diss the coaches and acknowledge that they are not the right people to be in charge of this football team. It’s actually insanity when you really really think about it. But this is big stuff, man. Like this is a massive report. I want this to be out to every possible Dolphins fan there is. So share this video on social media. Share it to friends. Share it to family. Facebook, Twitter, don’t matter to me. Just help us out. Spread today’s video because my oh my, this is important reporting. It truly is hard to fathom that after one week, that’s where it came to. And this is not a conclusion that the players drew following a blowout loss in NFL week one. If they had to have this players only meeting after the first game of the season, that means they have already felt it throughout training camp in the offseason programs in May, June, and July. And for the players that returned from the roster a year ago, they likely felt it at the end of last season. Like, how does it take one week for players to come to the conclusion they need to play for each other and for the name on the back of their jersey for their future rather than the coaching and the name on the front of their jersey. I hope Stephven Ross saw this report and sees this video because there’s no way you can justify keeping Mike McDaniel and this coaching staff around much longer, let alone past the season if this is how players felt about them just after one week. And it’s hard to blame the players. Now, you can blame Chris Greer. You could blame the players for playing bad cuz truth be told, the coaches aren’t in between the white lines playing the games. But it is on them to have them in the right spots and in the right schemes. Well, the Dolphins offense has been bottom 12 in the NFL through two games. And the Dolphins defense has, I would say, been the worst. You can argue either the New York Giants or um the Bills potentially, but no, I’m going to say it’s Miami. when you have given up the 31st most points and also have the worst EPA per play. Yeah, that’s going to be bad. Like when you look at this coaching staff, the leadership, decision making, play calling, and schematic game plans have been nothing short of abysmal. We already have talked about at nauseium about the lack of leadership, but the decision-making in terms of personnel groupings have been really bad. specifically on the defensive end of the floor. The play calling on defense has not been very good by Anthony Weaver either. And we already know that the execution late in games has been costly. But it’s been costly for the past what three years ever since Mike McDaniel really took over as head coach. And when you draw the conclusion that the players have and then that the fans have had and the rest of the NFL media has had. Yes, every coach deserves blame for the idiocy that is happening surrounding the Miami Dolphins. But it all starts with the head coach Mike McDaniel because he is leading this ship and he is the person who put this coaching staff together. Predict it for me. Will Mike McDaniel be fired this Friday following a likely loss to the Buffalo Bills? I believe he should. Now, will he? I was asked by our producer Coupe what my thoughts are. I literally said it was a 5050. It’s a coin flip. But let me know where you guys line. And I do want this to be abundantly clear as I address Mike McDaniel and the coaching staff. I am not putting all of the blame on McDaniel. Does he deserve most of the blame? Oh, absolutely. I would say when you look at the coaching malpractice that’s going on in Miami, I’d say it’s 70% McDaniel, 30% assistance. But most of these assistants and coordinators will likely need to go after the season. I spoke very highly of Anthony Weaver this past off season, but I gotta be honest, based off the first two weeks of the year, I don’t know if I was reaching for fool’s gold this off season because he has been atrocious through two weeks. And I do want this to be clear as well. If you fire Mike McDaniel, you are not going to fire your assistants or coordinators either. Why? Well, you need coaches to coach the team. That’s one reason. Like just to be point blank, that’s the truth. Now, some of them deserve to be fired. Yeah, probably. But they simply won’t. Only the head coach, maybe the GM. And when they do inevitably fire Mike McDaniel, assuming that it is in the middle of the year, these are the five coaches that I view as the most likely interim head coach options. Daryl Beville, who is the current quarterback coach, and pass game coordinator. John Embry, who’s an the assistant head coach and tight end coach. Bobby Slowick, who is a senior pass game coordinator but was the OC in Houston the past couple of years and got multiple head coach interviews over the past two seasons. Anthony Weaver is obviously going to be a top option, your current defensive coordinator. I would also throw out Eric Studsville, the running back coach and associate head coach, not the assistant, but an associate head coach. If you are going to ask me which one of these five likely becomes the interim, I do find a hard time believing it would not be Anthony Weaver. I just have a hard time believing that. And I know I just talked about how he has been bad and this Dolphins defense is the worst in the NFL through two weeks. But let’s not forget after one year as defensive coordinator in Miami, he had multiple interviews to be a head coach this past cycle with the Saints and the Bears. He was actually a finalist to be the New Orleans Saints head coach. And I will also admit this, does it help that your head coach could be a great X’s and O’s guy? Yes. But I do not think it is required to be a great head coach in the NFL to be a good X’s and O’s guys. Yes, you have to be good, but you do not have to be elite. Just look at some other head coaches in the NFL. Dan Campbell, he’s a very great motivator and leader. Do I think he’s an excellent X’s and O’s guy? No, I actually don’t. Honestly, John Harbaugh in Baltimore, I don’t think he’s that good of an X and O’s guys either, but he is a great manager and leader as well as a talent riser. So, it’s not the end all be all that you have to be an elite coordinator. It’s not. It’s all about relationships. It’s about leading and being a face of a franchise, which Anthony Weaver very well possibly could be. But yes, it does give me cause for concern that the defense play calling and overall execution has been very very poor through two weeks. More to come here in a second, but get started with prize picks today. This episode is brought to you by prize picks. You and I make decisions every day. Well, with the right decisions on prize picks, you can get paid where it is good to be right. It’s so simple to play. You just pick more or less on two to six player stat projections. If you get your picks right, you could cash in. Price fix inven the flex play, which means you can still cash if your lineup isn’t perfect. Double your money even if one of your picks does not hit. It’s the best way to win cash this football season. Which players are going off? Which ones aren’t? Make your picks in less than 60 seconds and turn your takes in cash all season long on prize picks. I have an entry in for the Dolphins Thursday night game. I think Devon Achan and Jaylen Wadd both go more on the receiving projections. Pairing that up with the max discount Patrick Mahomes half a passing yard and I’ve got myself a three player entry. So download the app today and use code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That’s code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup prize picks. It’s good to be right. Another reason why I believe that Anthony Weaver would be the shoein to be the Mike McDaniel replacement, at least in terms of being the interim head coach is this report from Albert Brerier. We know that personnel across the NFL think highly of Anthony Weaver, but so do most of the people in Miami. Brier reported that Weaver is beloved by everyone in the Dolphins, including ownership, including his assistant coaches alongside him, but as well as the players. So, players would get motivated and feel maybe even rejuvenated with Anthony Weaver being their head coach if Mike McDaniel got fired mid-season. Brerier even went on to say, “If there comes a point where this really goes the wrong way, could Steven Ross say, I want to take a look at Weaver to be head coach? I think it could eventually get there.” So, he’s being referred to as a head coach option for Miami, not just as the interim, but the long-term head coach replacement of the Dolphins. And if you actually were with us over the past year, this past February, March, when Weaver was getting head coach looks by other teams, but ultimately did not get hired, you would have remembered me saying that if McDaniel ultimately gets fired at the end of the season and the defense plays well, I would very well or very likely see Weaver being the next head coach of the Dolphins. Now, I said that anticipating a good defensive year through two weeks, that’s not the case. But if you are firing Mike McDaniel midway through the season, why wouldn’t you make Anthony Weaver the interim? Because if he is someone that would be in consideration for you to be the next head coach of this team, why not get a 10ame trial run? maybe less, maybe more games, but you would at least get to see how the operation is run and how the team responds to Anthony Weaver on a week in weekout basis. It truly is a no-brainer in my opinion. And if Mike McDaniel gets fired, we will certainly be live on the channel to react and honestly celebrate. And no, you’re not supposed to celebrate person losing a job, but I certainly will. We also have informative, free, entertaining content every day. Hey, subscribe and turn on notifications. Join the family. Point is with making this video today, Mike McDaniel is beyond saving. There is no world where you can justify him being the head coach of the Miami Dolphins past this season or honestly past week eight of this season, assuming we are heading in the direction that we’re heading. So, outside of Anthony Weaver being a potential replacement, I did want to take a quick look at 10 coaches I’m keeping an eye on. And we showed this video or a list on a video um last week, but I have a lot of mixed feelings on this list. Some of them are upand cominging names like Jesse Mter, Chris Schula, Zack Our, Joe Brady, a college coaches on the list like Marcus Freedom as well or Freeman, excuse me, as well as ex head coaches Ron Rivera, Mike McCarthy, Robert Salah, Vance Joseph, and Cliff Gingsbury. But when I’m thinking about the next head coach of the Miami Dolphins, I don’t want to make this so much of a honing point, I should say. And I don’t want to like act like McDaniel’s the worst person ever, but if we’re going to be honest, my requirement to be the next head coach of the Dolphins is the complete opposite of Mike McDaniel. I need my next head coach to be a leader, a motivator, and a face of a franchise. I need the coach to inspire not only his locker room, but to inspire the fan base. Mike McDaniel does not do that. Now, I also do like the idea of potentially bringing in a head coach that has experience in the past, already a head coach in the NFL, because that coach would know what it takes to be a head coach in the NFL, knows what it takes to be a leader and what is demanded as a face of a franchise. Now, maybe that’s a guy like Ron Rivera, Mike McCarthy, John Gruden. I know a lot of people will mention I’m certainly not on that train, but I know a lot of people are. I like the idea of experience, but I do not require it. But I do think it’s a good possibility. I’m going to give you two names that I would like to replace Mike McDaniel with. But who should be the Mike McDaniel replacement for the Miami Dolphins? Drop that name down in the comment section. The two names that I like the most right now are two defensive guys. Zack Ore, former North Texas player as well as a player in the NFL, current Ravens defensive coordinator, and former New York Jets head coach and current 49ers defensive coordinator, Robert Salah. Salah, I think, got the raw end of the stick in New York. And I thought a lot of the issues that went wrong with the Jets had to do with personnel and their GM, Ryan Douglas, or Joe Douglas, excuse me. I think Solah got ran out of there. I don’t think it was warranted and what do you know? He’s the defensive coordinator for the Niners and through two weeks that defense is humming playing at a very high level. I wouldn’t mind bringing Salad to Miami. He’s hard-nosed. He can lead and he speaks to the media. I feel confident. Zack Ore is a guy who is rising up the ranks extremely young, but his players respect him and he inspires and gets them to play with their absolute hardest ability. Think about the Ravens. That is a physical, hard-nosed football team that plays 110% every single week. You don’t think he would be able to bring that mindset and expectations to the Dolphins locker room? I think he would. Those two are the guys that I am on the highest right now. But I’m also keeping an eye on Mike Tomlin, who if that season goes really south in Pittsburgh, could be on the outs, as well as John Harbaugh in Baltimore. I do not think it’s likely whatsoever. But if the Ravens disappoint again, is there a chance they move on from him because of the consistent failures in the postseason over the last decade? Don’t think it’s possible, but I am monitoring the situation. Hit that sub button for daily Dolphins coverage. We’ll have a video out later today. It will be live Thursday night for Dolphins Bills week three, Thursday Night Football. Hope to see you there. [Music]
Mike McDaniel is on the verge of being fired by the Miami Dolphins, and rightfully so. The Dolphins held a players-only meeting before NFL Week 2, which is never a good sign, and NFL insider Albert Breer shared some of the topic points in the team meeting. Get started with PrizePicks! Visit https://prizepicks.onelink.me/LME0/CLNS and use code CLNS and get $50 in lineups when you play your first $5 lineup!Breer mentioned that the Dolphins roster doesn’t have a lot of respect for the Miami Dolphins coaching staff, and that the players need to play for each other despite some bad coaching from the Dolphins staff. This just shows how incompetent the Dolphins coaching staff is, and that the Dolphins will fire Mike McDaniel sooner rather than later. Albert Breer on the Dolphins players-only meeting:

No because Ross is a Re-Re
Any house cleaning that doesn’t require include Chris Grier is only a half measure. He’s the longest tenure GM in the league to not have a playoff win. He’s perennially waved away concerns of both O line and DB depth. He’s apparently the only person watching this team who doesn’t see deficiencies at those positions.
Grier is horrible it doesn't matter who they get as Coach or Coaches voodoo start with Chris Grier..Weaver doesn't have the right personal to run what he want too no 1 and 2 corner back 1 tru safety on denfence Grier never fix that or the online issue especially the right side..so tired.of Chris Grier…Tua needs to be held accountable..McDaniel needs 50sec to get a play call every game

I hope the hell he does we need to start fixing thee issues now not at the end of the season and Grier needs to go hell I could build a hell of a team if I was the coach I have seen over the last 11 years were 85% of all our issues never get addressed hire me ill fix the issues
Gruden, Gruden, Gruden
I dont think our defensive coach is nothing but short on the job he is doing
Anyone other than JOHN GRUDEN is the wrong answer
Hire Chris Shula. Rams have one of the best defense in NFL!
