Avalanche Open Camp With Injuries to O’Connor, Blackwood, and Girard

Do that’s how it’s gonna be, huh
Fortunately it sounds like nothing major for Sammy G. and Blackwood. Sure it’d be preferable to have both healthy going into camp but the Avs can weather these two and it will give more time to others in camp. As noted the Girard injury does highlight the lack of depth in left-shot defenseman and I wouldn’t be surprised if some sort of move to add depth there is forthcoming.
Edit: I erroneously typed Wedgewood in my initial reply. Sorry for putting that out into the ether.

eh thats fine. Wedgewood is more than serviceable. Burns is good enough for 4d and LOC we already knew.
