#cincinnatireds Get a Series Dub Over #stlouiscardinals

The Cincinnati Reds are back to 500. Okay, maybe I’m embellishing my excitement a little bit, but it was nice to see the lineup go. What’s up? This is Jeff Carr from the Lockdown Reds podcast. And yes, the Reds made it back to 500 with a series win over the St. Louis Cardinals. And the bats got going in a big way. It’s funny what happens when you hit home runs. Really wish they’d pay attention to that this offseason and hopefully add some power, but Spencer Steer got back on the board with a big time homer. The the other part about this though is another area error for Ellie de la Cruz and we’re going to talk about it a lot. This offseason is going to be filled with conversation about do you move Ellie? Do you keep him there? Do you wait? What do you do? But every time he commits an error, it just kind of feels like there’s a large group of the fan base now that is just like move him. I don’t know. This has been a tough year for LA Cruz, but at least the Reds got a win. They come back home with a four and five road trip that included six games on the West Coast. That’s okay, I guess.

  1. Turn Elly into a Starting Pitcher/DH. He has the arm. Or, let’s wait and see what lingering injuries are revealed post-season. Or maybe this season was Elly’s sophomore slump? Like McLain?
