New York Yankees Highlights: vs Minnesota Twins | 9/17/25
[Music] [Applause] [Music] payoff left field that is going to find grass and dunk in. Here comes Judge. Here’s the throw and it gets by the catcher Para. Judge scores. Moving to second is Bellinger. He picks up his 95th riby and the Yankees lead one- nothing. That’s where it can become dangerous. He fights this ball off. This is what he’s so good at doing is finding pitches off and finding a way to get a single. But as as the guy on deck, your job is to get there and tell him, “Do I need to slide? Which side of do I need to slide to? Where’s the ball?” He’s really good against sliders, but not so much against on sweepers. And that’s a base hit to center field. That’ll tie the game. Gisham gets the ball in, throws behind Lee, and Lewis picks up an RBI single. It’s one, but this one is not quite high enough. It’s belt high, and he’s aggressive in the count. He’s looking for a fast ball. Is able to hit this line drive just through the middle. And now it’s one to one. Tell you what, shut down innings are so important, Michael. And that one gets past Rice. And here comes Lee in there. Ahead of the tag by Heel. And this ball just goes off his webbing of his glove. And they were almost able to get Lee at home. I don’t think Lee recognized that it got by him right away. You always worry about pitchers getting their legs taken out from under him and something happening to knee there. You can see this ball is probably a ball that he should catch and he just misses it. has earned playing time. Highfly ball deep right center. Buckton back looking up and that ball is a home run over the high wall. Bouncing back onto the field. Home run number 32. It’s a tie game. Middle. Middle. Michael. Hit me. Hit me. Hit me. It’s amazing how short his swing is, too, and how much power he generates with it. I mean, there’s not a lot of movement. His head stays still. It’s a short stride and it’s a powerful swing. That one is ripped into right center field. It is a base hit. Splits the outfielders and it goes to the wall. Goldmith scores easily. Dominguez picks up an RBI double and the Yankees are back up top 3-2. He has not had a ton of playing time, but he has found a way to stay pretty sharp at the plate. He’s only started, you know, 10 11 of the last 34 games, but in that time he was hitting .293 coming into this game and now it’s even higher. High drive right field. There it goes. He’s done it again. Another home run for Gisham. A three-run shot and the Yankees lead six-2. The home run by Trent here again as curveball with runners on second and third. It’s a no doubt about her. You get Walner now moving. It’s kind of where he hit the one yesterday. I tell you what, that car out there is in jeopardy, Michael, of being hit a lot. Yeah. Was that a ball? Yes, it was. So Rice will score and Judge will move to second and the Yankees go up by five. 72. Too far into what you’re doing, you end up binging. Oh, he dropped his glove. There was a play at first. Are you okay with one hand? Yes. Oh, nice play by Chisum. Throw to first. Got him. A sparkler by the Yankee. Second baseman. He took a base hit away from Lee. do a cartwheel because we just saw it on this throw. And Lee hits this ball up the middle. Jazz does a good job of getting up quick. I mean, I I I think I’ve seen some of those moves in gymnastics in the Olympics. Is it called an aerial? Is that what it’s called? What a play. Ground ball. Grabbed there by Chisum and he gets to force at second. Another nice play by the Yankee second base. and be accurate on this force out to Cabayro. This is not an easy play and it’s not easy for Cababiro cuz he’s got to catch it. He’s got to find the base. He started to go after the ball but then he realized Jazz was going to get there. Kind of pivots and this is a really good play on both sides. Center field coming on is Gisham. He will not make the play. It’s a base hit and an RBI as Buckson scores. Kishel picks up his 28th riby. Yankees now up 73. And he gets it up there, but he’s had more success getting it away from him. And he’s able to hit this soft liner into center field for a base hit. No chance to throw Byron Buckton out. And Lee takes a first pitch and lines it off the glove of Cabayro. Two-run score. They throw behind the runner at second and he gets back in time. So a pinch hit single. two RBI’s for Alman and now it’s 75 last night in the fifth inning and he just tries to start him off with a fast ball and it’s down in the zone. And the one thing sometimes when you’re having a hard time throwing strikes you forget to pitch and you got to remember if a guy’s aggressive first pitch fast balls with runners in scoring position. Ground ball through for a base hit. Dominguez scores and the Yankees lead 8 to five on the McMahon RBI single. Second base and get to third on the air. And the man just does what you’re supposed to. Stay through the middle of the field and good things happen. Especially when the infield’s in. He looked at me like I was the crazy one. Like I I was the problem. Drill to right field. That ball is gone. A bullet home run by Bellinger. A two-run shot. Yankees have some breathing room and Bellinger continues to do it. Three RBI’s on the night. Player with the Yankees. And here’s this fast ball in bad place. Belly can cover the ball inside and even off the plate. The one two swing and a miss. I don’t know Joey looks more comfortable in the ninth inning as the Yankees win this one 105. They take two out of three in this series. sent on to Baltimore and the magic number is down to seven. We own the Twins.
These highlights aren't very good. Editing needs major help. I saw multiple unnecessary replays but not how someone got on base or even made it 2nd base in order to be driven in.
Nice to see a good job by the bullpen
