Cleveland Guardians vs Detroit Tigers (09-17-25) MLB Game Predictions, Picks and Best Bets

[Music] 917 918 you got Gavin Williams and the Guardians plus 126 Jack Flity Tigers minus 140 total of eight with some juice to the over at minus 115. All right, Kenny. So I’m taking Flarity as a sec. I’m taking Flarity alone 6K is minus 108. And now he’s going to be the second leg of the sizzling six. Flity Odo at plus 450. Flity got me to seven last time and he’s up and down. There’s there’s a world where he comes out, throws 85 pitches, and gets me two strikeouts and just doesn’t look great. Uh but if he’s got his stuff working, six is certainly a doable number here. So, I’m going to take that. But then you look at Cleveland, Kenny, they are not out of it here. Two and a half games out of the wild card in the American League. They’re one of the hottest teams uh in baseball. I think they’ve won, what is it here? They’ve won five in a row, nine of their last 10. They’re right in this thing. While you got the Red Sox sort of falling off, four and six in their last 10. What do you think here, Guardians, Tigers? It’s honestly insane how like how much these wild card standings have just, you know, have just flipped in in the span of a week, right? I think a week ago we were talking about, hey, like the Rays are two games back, man. This this team is kind of scrappy. I think after they went and swept the Mariners and you blink and the Rays are nine games back and the Guardians are two and a half back. So it’s it’s a fun time of year for a lot of these teams. Um I’m curious like like what kind of a leash does this this flarity have here? Like if you’re the Tigers like your goal is still to win games. Like I think they have a what a I think it’s like a five or a five and a half game lead for for the division. So like it’s not over but they’re they’re kind of in the driver’s seat here. like at some point do you get into like arm preservation mode for you know for for for some for some of your starters now you don’t want to just lolly gag it against the Guardians like they get swept here and it it it becomes a problem during the last week but like like I just I look at this we’re like the Guardians just have so much more to play for here. Um I I didn’t touch this game but uh I think if if I was going to bet this it would be I I think I would lean more on the I think I like the Gavin Williams Ks a little more. I don’t mind the Flareity Ks at all. I just I I maybe slightly worried if if they’re in control here, like do they stretch them beyond five innings if they don’t have to? Whereas I think if Gavin Williams has it going that the every game going forward for the Guardians is essentially a playoff game. So, um I I prefer Gavin Williams here, but I don’t really dislike either of them. Yeah, I thought the same thing you did, but the one thing that kind of swayed me like, okay, they’re not is TKO is going to pitch tomorrow, I think, and he left with an injury, was it last week, with left side tightness or something. So, you would think if they’re playing it safe that they would let Scooble take a start off and arrest him, right? But that’s not the case. So, maybe they’re going harder than we think cuz I kind of had the same thoughts you did on that, Kenny. So, uh yeah, flity. Flity can be interesting. What do you think here, Corby? Uh, last night, by the way, Flity, when I bet this Flity 6Ks was plus 139. This morning, it’s – 107 – 108. So, it’s moved a lot overnight. Uh, what do you think of this game here, Guardians, Tigers? Yeah. Um, I I’m just saddened by this scubble race. You know, I think I talked about it. I had um had old Scoobs to be the MLB strikeout leader again. Um, it wasn’t great price. It wasn’t anything like last year’s price, but um it looked good. It had life. And then I just checked again. I don’t check most of these stats. I just checked and he is no longer like it’s not even clo like he’s he’s not winning this. It’s it’s crochets to win. So unfortunate. gives me no reason any longer to watch the Tigers, which I guess is a pro of losing my bet. I don’t have to watch any of this anymore. But I I would agree like Flity has the stuff like we’ve seen his velocity go down throughout like the last year and a half. So um resting him wouldn’t surprise me. At the same time, Scubble returning tomorrow kind of weird like it would give you another reason as to why they might play him longer, keep more bullpin to have school only go five. So it’s a weird spot. Something I didn’t mess with. Gavin Williams is like what 67 uh 6K 6Ks plus one. Oh yeah, he’s tall. Yeah, super tall. He’s like 245. Like yo, I could be convinced versus this Tigers lineup that he goes out and shoves. So I didn’t play it. Um I could see both pitchers if if Flity has like any kind of extended leash. I can see both pers going over the strike out prop. Yeah, with Flity it’s either he’s got it and you’re going to know pretty early on. the last game where he got me the seven. He had four Ks and five and then he went struck out the side for me while I was gambling in a bar. It’s fantastic. So, I’m going to go back to the well, but there’s always concern. For purposes of the show, I’m locking in Jack Flity 6Ks minus 108 and then we’re going to do a little sizzling six parlay. Jack Flity, Johan Oedo, 6Ks each at plus 450.
