Made an edit to that CBS Sports graphic that omitted Goff from the elite convo, and it really puts things into perspective.

  2. I personally think Baker has made it to elite status. So if he’s considered elite, then I’d say Goff has most definitely made it. Just my thoughts though

  7. That was pretty much my first thought when I saw which stats they decided to cherry pick and the fact that Goff wasn’t there, his success ruins their narrative haha

  8. He gets overlooked because he’s not a mobile QB. Nonetheless, it’s criminal to leave June off that graphic with these stats

  11. I love Goff, but wouldn’t put him into the elite tier. Just because the few elite guys can do more with less, this is how I see it.

    Elite tier
    1. Josh Allen
    2. Lamar Jackson
    3. Patrick Mahomes

    (Left Burrow off because you need to play a lot more than he has to be elite IMO)

    Very good but not elite tier

    4. Jared Goff

    5. Baker Mayfield

    6. Matt Stafford

    7. Jalen Hurts

    8. Justin Herbert

    These guys just need a little more around them than the elite tier to produce at an elite level.

  15. That is so insane that Goff was left off this Chode Broadcasting list.. They’re all good QBs, but Baker and Joe B should be 5 & 6 ez..

  20. My man, Jared Goff, is on the tier above these bums and that’s why he wasn’t included. He’s in the Super Elite category. You should’ve just added a tier horizontally above the other bums to properly show JG as the top of the pyramid!

  23. I was thinking maybe it’s because of interceptions. We all know Jared has had a few rough games for interceptions and I recall Lamar having some crazy good interception stats. So, I looked it up and here are all their interceptions since 2023:

    Baker Mayfield: 26

    Patrick Mahomes: 26

    Josh Allen: 24

    Joe Burrow: 15

    Lamar Jackson: 11

    Jared Goff: 25

    I still don’t see a problem.

    One extra note, Joe Burrow missed 7 games in 2023, so his stats could have been significantly higher. But, what’s the best ability?
