Quick reminder that Magglio Ordoñez batted .363 in 2007 with over 50 doubles

  1. That ’07 team was a lot of fun to watch. Magglio was insane. Granderson had 20+ HRs, 20+ triples, 20+ doubles, and 20+ SBs. Polanco was also incredible hitting .341. Sheffield and Guillen had solid years too. Pitching sucked though besides JV.

  2. This was the last season my Grandpa and Aunt saw. Gpa died of a heart attack in the middle of a double header 72 and up softball game. 2 for 3 in the first game(single handedly won it) and was rounding 2nd on a triple in the second game. Dude was probably having a heart attack at the plate. And my aunt had terminal brain cancer at the time and Mags was her hope. Love and miss them both, but I remember my month back in the Mitten surrounded by friends and family. Go 🐯 Go 🦁

  3. And he missed MVP to only a juiced-up A-Rod. I was really hoping they’d retroactively go back and take his away and give it to Maggs.

  4. Mike Valenti said he had the emptiest batting title in history because the team did nothing… so if you needed a reminder Valenti was an idiot from the beginning.
