Pete Alonso smashes his 37th home run of the season πͺ
He got him and we watched him last night. Pretty impressive, right? AJ’s always active. It’s amazing they have any prospects left in their system. Here’s Pete Alonzo. Twice in his career, Pete has homerred in four straight games. He did it once in 2019. He did it once in 2023. He’s got a shot to do it again today. 36 home runs for the year. 119 driven in. And he hits this one deep to center field. Merryill goes back. takes a look and Pete has home for a fourth straight game. Number 37 for Pete Alonzo. One to nothing New York. He’s not only hitting home runs, he’s hitting tape measure home runs on a regular basis. When I played with Clint Hurdle in the minor leagues, he used to call these a slide doobie. And it’s a slider that just never comes out of the air. Covered by Alonzo. And again, another one deep into the afternoon this time. 445 ft on that home run. Mets homered four times in the opening game of the series, four more times last night. And now Alonzo gets today’s home run barrage begun. Ball wasn’t down enough. It was away enough. [Music] That is now 120 runs batted in for Alonzo.
Raise the apple for Pete Alonso’s 37th home run of the 2025 season. Alonso now has 120 home runs for the New York Mets!
