On flight to Atlanta in route to Scotland. Ending the week in Dublin for the game. This gentleman caught my eye as looking similar to the Bus. Then I saw the Notre Dame hat. Then he smiled and I thought for sure this has to be Jerome Bettis. He’s sitting first class.

I flew with Ryan Shazier from fort Lauderdale to Pittsburgh recently but it was just a Southwest econ flight so he wasnt first class. He had pre boarding and sat in the first non handicap row of seats though. He was surprisingly able to keep a low profile and not be bothered. I thought it was Josh Dobbs at first until I boarded and got a closer look at his face.

Update: I caught up to him right off the plane and worked up the courage to ask him. It was Bettis! I had to tell him the story that when I was a scrawny elementary school girl, my parents put me in a 36 jersey for Halloween. They gave me a helmet and wrote “mini bus” on it. Of course at the time I had absolutely no idea what they dressed me as. Huge fan now.
