Tyler Loop on Being Named the Starting Kicker | Baltimore Ravens

How did it feel uh having a night like this in front of uh family and friends? It was fun. Uh it’s fun to come back to Dallas and like be in the stadium and play the Cowboys like growing up here. That’s, you know, it’s something that’s really big. And uh just being able to get in front of my family again was was really special. Um yeah, it’s it’s just so fun. I saw the signs. You know, how many people you may have had watching here? How many tickets you had to get or Oh, I’m going to guess 30. Yeah. Yeah, I had I had a lot of people come out and like like I said, just super thankful, like super fun just seeing my family and friends come back around and just celebrate and be here. So, it’s good. I know you’ve been confident, but uh what does a night like this do for your confidence? It just builds it, you know. Um we talk like talk about all the time like the process, right? Getting back and you know, we’re trying to match good football contact and swing to our target and um stay in the kick and everything. And so it’s fun to have a night like tonight, especially where you can just go out and do that over and over and then um you know, you miss one, you’re able to come back, right? Because you start back at the top on your process. And so I would say that even builds more confidence, right? When you can um maybe you fall short of your your process once, but then you can come back and just go back into that process. It builds those repetitions and it just makes you feel more confident and comfortable. So it was really cool. It was fun to get a lot of kicks. Going off that, I know the goal is not to miss, but was that important to be able to show yourself that you can correct the game at that level? I’d say so. Like it’s, you know, it’s just one of those things. It’s um, you know, we got to come earn it every day and also every rep in my position. Um, you know, you want to show up and just and stay in your process with your guys like Nick and Jordan do an awesome job for me. Um, you know, my goal is to check off my process every time. um strike the ball well and and make kicks, but if that doesn’t happen, like my name’s gonna get called again. So, you know, you have to be able to step back up and um go through it again and earn it. And so, it’s Yeah, it’s fun. When did you find out that you got the job? Oh, I haven’t haven’t found out yet. Well, you do. Yes, you do have the job. Still still earning. Um well, today you you’ll be the nice about 10 minutes ago. That’s fun. Um but yeah, it’s you know, it’s fun. like it’s it’s special and that’s something that’s uh you know celebrate a little bit with my my family just now and uh I’m just really really excited to be in Baltimore like it was one of those things just through the whole draft process and even the last three months I’ve just seen so many things fall into place that um you know for me like faith is a big part of my life and just seeing how orchestrated and well things have fallen into place it just makes me really thankful to be here um and I love love the staff I love my teammates and just being in the city of Baltimore is really fun and so I’m I’m excited to be here uh for that. So that’s that’s really fun but got to earn it every day still. So it’ll be good.
