At first I was really disappointed, but almost doesn’t matter at this point if the Tigers collapse and gag the division. This team isn’t a threat in the postseason. This team overachieved the first half of the season and regressed back to the mean. It sucks, but that’s the reality of it.
These guys have no more expertise than most on this sub. Blah blah blah. The whole lineup sucks on offense since ASB, with a week or so of brilliance. They can’t score. That results in losses against marginally good teams let alone a team on a streak like CLE.

It’s been crazy. I thought if they even just play .500 from all star to end of season they’ll be fine. I thought the trade deadline was underwhelming and it looks like the front office is just gonna rock and roll with who they started with and if they make it fine and if they don’t fine? Was that their mindset? They are now 26-30 since the all star break. That’s making it look better than what it has been because they were on that terrible losing streak going into the ASB. Only trade deadline acquisition that has really planned out is Finnegan and he is hurt. I’m not ready to throw in the towel because they still have a 3.5 game lead and maybe just maybe they’ll wake the fuck up. It would be really embarrassing to lose the division. If they manage to do that AND not make the playoffs I don’t know how i am going to be able to care next season. That’s mostly on the front office and deservedly so.
Imo the Tigers look mentally exhausted and physically rundown and out of energy.
Going to get destroyed for this as it suggests issues with AJ’s obsession with handedness. About the 2 minute remaining part, Cody talks about a decision AJ made defensively, which ultimately was based on Trey Sweeney being a left handed hitter. Stop already. Just stop AJ. Why does it matter which batters box Trey stands in if the guy just can’t hit period. This obsession goes beyond rational.
My parents used to tell me that they knew the war was lost when we lost Kronkite. Seems dire when we lose Sumdood and Whatshisface and their impressive internet show. But do we yet know what Ja Rule’s position is on this team?
