But Reddit told me everything is Brian Flores’ fault
They tried to draft Herbert but the slip was intercepted and ran back to Tua
And they’d be wasting Herbert too, the Dolphins are just a bad organization
What has Herbert done?
The Browns could’ve drafted Lamar or Josh Allen but they chose Baker (the right choice at the time and still would’ve been a solid option to this day) but they fumbled that away. Turns out, even if you have the best QB on your team, you’re still gonna suck if your org sucks
This a jumpscare
Tua was great at first, but it’s hard to stay good when you get terrible concussions almost annually.
I don’t care who we get. This team will fail him.
I mean its really the dolphins organization that is at fault for tuas downfall, the same thing probably would’ve happened to Herbert had they drafted him
Every team can play the hindsight game forever. But it was essentially a consensus that Tua ,at the time, was the better pick among just about everyone. A lot of chargers fans were upset that they had to “settle” for Herbert, or even wanted Isiah Simmons if they couldn’t get Tua rather than take Herbert.
And even if Herbert went to Miami there is 0 guarantee he develops the same way, especially behind our abysmal Oline and multiple (sometimes at the same time!) OCs.

Dear Miami,
Chargers fan.
Wasn’t this sub shitting on Herbert for the entire off season.
Time for the Zach Wilson experiment!!!
Didn’t Herbert choke and throw 5 interceptions in the wild card round last year?? They both have the same number of playoff wins so it’s really a draw.
Take it from me, if your organization is a fucking joke, it doesn’t really matter who you draft.
Why did you pick this QB for this hypothetical?
Herbert was destined to live the best life.
Either Miami or LA.
They also could’ve drafted me smh
Herbert with the Dolphins just would have ended up like how Tannehill did most likely.
Only people that post stuff like this are those who don’t pay attention to the draft lol. Herbert wasn’t looked at as a great prospect. Miami would’ve gotten blasted so hard had they taken Herbert. Wasn’t even a consideration for anyone
They probably didn’t want another Dan Marino type who would just leave them short of a super bowl win. It’s so painful to get close and lose.
Wait, isn’t that a charger thing to only get to the AFC championship repeatedly and fire their coach? Such sadness on both sides.
Would like to remind everyone that the Browns, 9ers, Jets, Jags, Titans, Chargers, Panthers and Bengals also passed on Mahomes.
He would’ve looked so good in the Dolphins uni 😭
coulda woulda shoulda Tua was better at the time he had a college natty herbie fully loaded didn’t
And y’all listen to the draft experts….the teams don’t even know what the hell they’re doing
People 2 minutes after the draft, giving out letter grades..SMDH
They could have also properly tanked like they were supposed to and drafted Joe Burrow, but Brian Flores decided to be a douche and win games.
Broncos coulda drafted Josh Allen or Lamar instead of Bradley Chubb 😭
