This is the BIGGEST red flag for the Chiefs of them all…

So, the Chiefs should highly consider making a move for a running back, and here’s why. There are other concerns on the roster, pass rush being one of them. So, to be clear, if the Chiefs want to make a move for a pass rusher as well, I would not complain. But the run game, when you have your wide receiver one and two out, it doesn’t help the offense at all. It’s a combination of a couple of things. Yes, you have no fear of guys running routes out there in the offense, but you also have no fear of guys in the back field. And when Mahomes leads the team in rushing by double in back-to-back weeks, it’s definitely a cause for concern. Listen to this stat. Mahomes is the second quarterback since 1950 to record double any other player on his team in rushing yards in each of the first two games of a season, joining Cam Newton in 2020. Yes, sometimes the O line is struggling in the trenches. I get it. It’s not perfect, but these guys can’t break a tackle. There’s no dynamic playmaker in the back field. This is just one example of many, but James Cook of the Buffalo Bills, for example, made a man miss that any Chief’s running back would have been tackled for about a 2-y gain, and he went for 44 yards. I understand they’re paying that man a lot of money, but the Chiefs have not invested in the running back room at all after C. Seventh round pick in Pacheco. He’s fine, but has his limitations. Seventh round pick in Bashard Smith, one year as a running back under his belt. And the best running back on the roster is probably Kareem Hunt. And that man is 30 with no real burst anymore. So yeah, I definitely think the Chiefs need to make a move for a running back ASAP.

  1. In 2023 pacheco had 3 games with 20+ carries and 2 were in the playoffs.
    Last season hunt had 4 20+ carries after pachecos inj.
    Pacheco is more explosive and has more big play ability. Give him the rb1 which he deserves because you aren't giving him enough opportunity.
    Also there are no run lanes because the O-line are not creating holes.
    More then just a rb problem but the chiefs aren't helping themselves

  9. They can't keep ignoring the position. Drafting in the 7th round or UDFA isn't going to cut it. Trading at this point is going to have limited returns. Why would any team trede away a good RB?

  10. I actually liked Pacheco he was god two years ago before his injury but now he just doesn’t run like he wants to stomp on someone but it isn’t all his fault injury can affect people and our o line isn’t great at all

  16. I think it’s our line, possibly with more time they will gel better. Let’s be real also not really having a threat at wr is hurting also. Once they start stretching the defense with rashee and Xavier, it will help

  17. It took 3 years for a lot of you fans to realize Pacheco has zero vision. CEH has better vision than Pacheco. That's a fact. We're preserving Hunt. Hunt could still be a 50-100 yd rusher if given more carries but he's too valuable in short yardage. Steele is a better RB than Pacheco but we're concerned with his ball security.

  18. No absolutely not Pacheco and Hunt work perfectly with the Chiefs offense. You got to stop take a breath … it's a 17 game season. And I saw the guys getting hard yards Hunt Pacheco stop trying to put blame.
    You got a win with two top receivers out 3 pts. And Kelce dropped a TD.
    Relax … running backs are good so stop already geez.

  19. Look, we are supposed to blindly trust what Veach and Reid do because they know football. Essentially, we shouldnt speculate, share opinions, or say anything about any of it because we arent in the NFL, shutting down pretty much all conversation. Really, all Cole should be doing is reporting on what the Chiefs do with no opinion whatsoever interjected into the program. Or at least, that is what I was told by certain parties on this channel.
