Jays make SHOCKING move… Multiple WILD Jays Updates | Toronto Blue Jays News

There’s some huge news to go over today as the Toronto Blue Jays have just made a surprising move and following what has been a very disappointing stretch of play, including the Royals putting up over 20 runs against the Jays. We have a shocking new update surrounding one particular pitcher that has fans very intrigued. We’re going to break down exactly what that move is, but not only that, a huge Bob Bashette update that changes everything as we approach the end of the regular season into the postseason and a few other updates to go over today, some housekeeping stuff. Before we get into it all, if you’re part of the percentage who aren’t subscribed to the channel, this is the place to be for daily Jays content. You guys have been an absolute beast of the support and thank you guys for it. It means the world to myself. Folks, it has been a bad past three games. The Jays have lost three in a row. Luckily, the Yankees lost yesterday as well. So, the Jays technically gamed a game in the magic number category cuz a game, you know, one one game closer to the end of the regular season and the standings remain the same. But folks, we had some big news come out following the game yesterday, specifically surrounding some big information regarding Jose Bereos. And of course on his channel, all the conversation has been about Bo Bashette, how he’s going to play when he returns, if he’s going to return in the postseason, all these different things. And we got some pretty big news here. I’m going to dive into some comments from Max Sherzer, but I want to cover this here. And this was pretty big. Now, in case you missed yesterday night’s game, of course, Jose Bereos was warming up and seen warming up in the bullpen. And then Jose Bereos was confirmed after the game to now be in the bullpen going forward. Jose Burios will be in the bullpen moving forward. He can still start, but the conversation happened. Schneider said he’s a professional. There’s a reason Jose Bereios is Jose Bereios. As uncomfortable as it is, I think he gets it. That’s kind of where we are right now. And folks, this is pretty shocking to me because not the fact that necessarily I mean I’m shocked they did it, but like I make sense from uh it makes sense. Sorry, and I understand it from a baseball perspective. I’m just surprised they did it. And they’ve done a lot of things this season that I feel like they haven’t and wouldn’t do in years past. Whether that be call up Treya Savage, you know, make big trades. I mean, they’ve done that in years past. Moving now Jose Bereios to the bullpen and I mean the conversation has to be had because Max Sher has been really bad lately. This is his fourth straight start yesterday was where we give up four or more runs and Bereos is the one getting sent to the bullpen and it’s pretty uncomfortable and I can’t believe that they actually went ahead and did it and I’m a little bit surprised that they decided to actually do it and again it all started in yesterday’s game when he was warming up in the bullpen ultimately didn’t go in but you can see here from Mitch Bannon no official word from the team but with Yavage seemingly in the rotation for now there could be a relief transition in play and that of course was confirmed. So, with that, of course, being confirmed, I want to hear your guys’ thoughts about it because, you know, Burios has been bad lately, right? And on the season, his numbers look pretty average compared to where he usually is, but it is a pretty big difference, especially as of late. His stuff is down, all these different things. They’re choosing Bereios or sorry, Bassid over Burios. And I do think that ultimately is the right call. Basset has been, despite his last start, really, really good lately. And obviously, Bass had a pretty unlucky start last time. It’s probably the right call. But what this opens up is who on earth is the third starter in in a Toronto Blue Jays playoff game? Are they going to see if the Toronto Blue Jays can, you know, go ahead and or see if they can, you know, clinch a playoff spot in the AL East and see what Terry Savage can do as a starter? Is there a world where Y Savage opens a game into a Chris Basset start or something like that? They now have two long relief arms with Eric Lowour and Jose Burios. And man oh man is it super intriguing to me that they actually went ahead and did this. It’s it’s quite shocking actually. And you look at some of the uh you know some of the stats here. I mean B Sherzer is now up to a 5.06 RA and it’s an interesting point from uh from Zack here. The Jays have had a great season up until this point, but the fact that every single addition made this off seasonason minus Shaw has been awful or hurt really stinks, man. And him and Jimenez, I’m kind of fine with that addition. Really bad at the bat. Great defensively and has come clutch numerous times. Garcia resigned hurt. Nick Saland a part of the Jimenez trade. Hurt Hoffman’s been pretty shaky. Santandere of course we’ll have to see, but he has been really bad when he’s been healthy and he hasn’t been healthy most of the year. And then Sherzer yesterday given up a ton of runs like seven. It is interesting to see how far the Jays have come with all their additions being bad. But the flip side of that is you can now hopefully get Bulba back for the ALDS which we’ll dive into in a minute. And then Santandere back who hit a home run there the other day. Santair I believe is playing tomorrow in the outfield uh or DH one of the two. I forget the exact one. Let me know down below if you know. Uh but regardless it’ll be tomorrow at some point of course and at that point it’s going to be quite interesting to see what uh what happens with uh you know Jose Bio, what happens with Anthony Santandere and of course all these different things. But let me know down below what your thoughts are on this um what I’ll call surprising move and where you think it goes from here. Do you think he’s going to start and I mean clearly this kind of takes him out of the running for starting in the rotation. I mean maybe there’s a world where you know Trey Cyber strikes out 10 every game for the next two starts against of course the Royals on Sunday and then uh the Rays end the year and then he plays into the you know starting rotation in the playoffs. It’s going to be crazy. Let me know down below what your thoughts are. But speaking of the playoffs, let’s dive into the big news of the day. Boba did some light hitting in the cage today. of Blue Jays manager John Schneider flips and Twork and Anthony Santerea’s off tonight Buffalo and play outfield the next two days. There it is. Answer my own question. I forgot what it was. He’s going to play outfield the next two days. Can expect him probably back on the major league team mid to late next week. But folks, this one is super intriguing to me because not the Santandere thing, the Bo Bashette one because John Schneider went on Sports at 590 and said that Bob Bashette will begin hitting today, taking swings off a tea and in the batting cage and that not only is Bob Bashette feeling good and better than ever, not better than ever, but better than ever since he got hurt. Anthony Santon Dere is also feeling good and this is where things start to change a little bit because positive updates on Bobette, which is massive, and then of course positive updates on Anthony Santandere. It breathes some, you know, breath of breaths of fresh air, I guess, or a big sigh of relief. Brea, a breath of relief surrounding this team heading into the playoffs. Now, they’re three games up, virtually four games up on the Yankees. Thank god they lost yesterday. I believe the Red Sox. I mean, Tigers lost as well. Like, you’re in good spot. But he’s finally starting to hit again. And Bette is quote energized and feeling better every day. These are not words you say for someone you don’t expect to actually play for you in the postseason. And that’s where things get exciting for this team. I truly believe they’re going to go ahead and have him play in the ALDS. With the ALDS, assuming you get that buy and you take care of business the rest of the way, still above a 90% chance you win in the AL East. I believe you of course will get the week off and the extra week off cuz the wild card game starts in 10 days, October 30 or September 30th, and then of course the ALDS starts October 4th. You get him that extra rest and Bo that’ll be massive for Bo Bashette. But it’s going to be wild, folks. And as you start to prepare now for Bobette, you know, returning in the postseason, Anthony Santandere, he’s obviously, you know, a big piece of this puzzle. And if he can come back, this team desperately needs an injection of offense. And yesterday’s games touched on a little bit. I mean, they lost 20 to1. Horrible. The offense only mustered up three hits. And the Royals put up 27 hits, which a lot of them are against Tyler Heinman, and they say the Bullpin a little bit with that. Folks, this team offensively has been awful lately, right? Awful. And if you can’t get that solved here, you’re going to be in trouble, especially as you approach the postseason. Vlatt’s been rough. I mean, most people have been rough as of late. It’s going to be pretty rough in the postseason. If you can do that, I’m not going to be pessimistic here, but getting Santandere back would be massive. And if there’s ever a time to have an injection of life getting Santandere back, this would be the time. And I think they’re going to try to press the issue, I would assume, against the Red Sox in the next series starting on Monday. But folks, let me know down below what your thoughts are on that. Couple other things to go over here as well. Well, um, I kind of want to circle back real quick to the Trey Savage stuff. I saw this from Derrick Shelton, former Pittsburgh Pirates manager, and he said if he was in the bullpen, he’s savage. And I assume he will be. I don’t think we can assume he’ll pitch leverage innings, and that’s talking about a postseason run. And this was, of course, yesterday or the day before, I believe it was the day before before the news was out about Burios. It’s clearer than ever. Now, following the horrible start by Max Sherzer, his age is above five, horrible starts by Jos Burios moving into the bullpen. Dre Savage might be that next man up. And if that’s the case, folks, you have to get him into the Trace Savage, that is into the postseason uh lineup for sure. I could see a world where he does pitch leverage innings if he comes out and pitches two really good starts. Like there’s something to be said about a pitcher. Yes, he’s a rookie, pressure, all these different things. If you’re at home, especially, you don’t uh you know, other teams don’t know the scouting report on him. He’s barely pitched at the major leagues and there’s something to be said about that. So, let me know down below what your thoughts are on this, folks. Your guys supports been absolutely fantastic. Moves were made. Moves are coming. keep you up to date. Cheers.

  1. The Blue Jays treat Jose like a dog, starting pulling him out last year from the playoff game. They are going to unmotivated Jose to contribute to the team and might actually throw a game. Like ya ya they are saying he’s being professional but as a human I’m sure he’s pisst and not happy

  2. Picture this – it's 1987, second last weekend of the season, Jays leading their division, coming off a 7 game win streak – George Bell was MVP (.308, 47 jacs, 134 Ribs), Jimmy Key led the league in ERA, Tom Henke led the league in saves, a young Jeff Mussleman and Jose Nunez were studs out the pen, and Steve Guttenberg was all the rage while Tiffany sang to millions of teens, "I Think We're Alone Now" – the Jays only needed 4 games to get to 100 wins that year with 7 games left, what could go wrong? ..the team didn't win another game that season, that's what went wrong and thus begun the greatest collapse of their franchise history – now I'm not saying today's Jays won't win again BUT a collapse under the shaky ground this team is built on (No MVP, No pitching leaders in saves and ERA, no counted on studs out the bullpen), and the past few games when the hitting is solved (which is play-off baseball), things could look scary if you let it!

  3. Last time the Jays were in a 20-1 they beat Colorado and everything was going swimmingly – and since that game the Jays are 21-17 (4 games over being a .500 team), actually teams like the Guardians are playing much better in that time than the Jays … that's right, the team that sold to you their ace. So as a gambler, who you betting your money on, if the Guards make it to the dance? The barely .500 team or the team that is eating the league's lunch lately? Did the Jays peak too soon? They stumbled out the gate, got red hot, do they stumble into the gate to close the season? Lucky other teams aren't ding well, now its a battle of who doesn't sux more! ..If the Guards get in, they will be last years Detroit, year before that's D-backs and how ready do the Mariners look right now, their dirty, going to be hard to beat. We NEED Sandy to come back and slug, give Vlad the protection that Bo was giving him to have a chance at least winning a game for the first time in Shatkin's tenure.
