Spencer Rattler was not the problem yesterday. Spencer Rattler has gotten better. Spencer Rattler has shown that he could be a capable starter. I’m not saying he can be an elite starter. Clearly, this team is much, much better. Clearly, this offense is much, much better than it was last year specifically, but I think every week and every outing we see Spencer Rattler take the field, he does get better. But the offense and the defense and the team as a whole, they need to play a cleaner and more disciplined brand of football because what they’re doing right now is playing scrappy and playing very very hard with a lot of fight. But if you can clean it up and you can play more disciplined and minimize the penalties, minimize the third and longs that you’re giving up, then you can find more success and find wins.

The defense gave up 26 points at home to the SF second string players. Mac Jones had nearly 300 yards and 3 touchdowns. Yiadom got burned more than toast. The defense is just as much a liability as the offense.

hoping the players continue to be scrappy. they gave themselves chances to win both games, regardless of who they played. clean up some of the penalties, drops, and get stops on these 3rd and longs and I think these will turn into wins. hope they get a victory soon so they dont start getting down on themselves

3) Limit penalties
