Thoughts: Rays to Orlando

1. There’s not many rays in central fl. Maybe sea world or disney.

2. Let’s do it. Orlando needs more local sports. Way too big of a city to only have the Magic and Lions

3. Change the logo to a Baseball with Rays of Sunshine coming out of it. Or better yet and Orange with Baseball stitching and Rays of Sunshine.

4. I wanted it desperately. A month or so ago it was announced the “Orlando Dreamers” had secured 2 billion in funding.

   Then, a week or so back, one of their biggest funders joined the other party purchasing the Rays and keeping them in Tampa/St. Pete. John Morgan, Morgan and Morgan, For the People then dropped out.

   The outlook is grim.

   I grew up in a city with NBA, NFL, and MLB. A city with less people than Orlando. A city with less tourists than Orlando. I would love for ORL to have an MLB team. I love that local sports city culture. But, at this time it is only a dream.

5. That dream died recently. They’ll stay in that part of the state.
