The penultimate round of the regular season and it is the Jets taking on the Blackhawks. A top of the table clash between uh the top place and undefeated so far Jets up against the Blackhawks who are looking to hold on to second place on the table as well tonight. If they get the win, they’ve probably locked up second place. If they lose and depending on the results, they can even drop down to third. So that race and for the double chance to finish that top two is still very much on. My name’s Michael. I’m joined today by Adrien McMillan. Welcome Adrian. Fantastic to be here mate. Uh electric game we’re going to have here. Uh I’m excited to see the young uh null out there playing his first game of this division. So wo it’s going to be exciting. It is. And the Jets have not lost. They’ve not conceded any of the points. They’ve taken the 26 points on the table that’s been offered to them so far from their 13 games. against the the second team on the ladder. They’ll be I think they’ll be looking to make a statement tonight. Absolutely. Um at the moment, you’re looking at really trying to drive home a message as well heading into the finals. Either team, they’re not going to give up, right? They’re going to leave it all out. Well, complacency can always be the issue when you’re that far in front. But um I think there’s a benefit to playing one of the teams at well at the moment if the everything stands as is. That’s the team they’re meeting in the first week of the finals. So definitely not one you’d be um you’d be wanting to take, you know, sort of take easy cuz uh that could blow up in your face. Definitely. You don’t want to take anything lightly. And um I mean like you said, this is really a warm up for what’s to come and it’s going to be some great hockey and just having a look at some of the top scorers for both sides. For the Jets, leading scorer is Ara Master with 22 points from his 12 games. Yuka Kanto with 20 points. That’s seven goals, 13 assists, and David Barrett with 18 points from 11 games. And for the Blackhawks, Jos Fles leading the way with 23 points from 11 games. Paulo with 20 from 13. Elijah Kelly leading a bunch of players on eight points as well for the season for the Blackhawks. Goalenders for both sides. Damian Holland starting in net for the Blackhawks. He’s got a gold against average of 2.59. So percentage of.916. Gieran Brown with a gold against average of.1 sorry 1.62 in the 923 are underway here in the opening game. The Jets the team in the purple but now it’s Val. Now it’s Max as [Applause] so Bartlett Lazerado Valz probably just one pass too many there from the Blackhawks and nearly trickled through there. So battle along the half wall and uh Kanto in the corner battling with Dixon. Kanto with the puck cycles back and burns off Justin Dixon and flips it up high. And that’s going to work well for Croft. Darren Croft tight angle shot to Dixon. Sends that one into the corner. Brown will come out of his net. He’s been turned over. Kelly with a pass there. It was looking there for um Dixon. Now Wood chuck comes in round with the save there from Elijah Calli. out there pass the good one out towards Martenddale. [Music] Nesbit was also there for the Blackhawks. So Connor Brennan Connors with the puck goes out wide. It’s been turned over. Chance there for the Jets but unable to get a shot away. Was Adam? Yes, that was Arteame as Ivan Crusalev goes out wide cost. The Hulacus will get to the puck first for the Jets. He goes out wide looking for Martenddale. Null with the puck looking for Lazerado. Couldn’t find him. Barrett for the Jets towards Kanto. That’s blue line headed shot was blocked off the stick and crucial goes out wide to Hudelis. Kanto Barrett pass was a good one out towards Coft backhanded attempt ties him up and null through bottom of the puck now and will clear oh he actually will clear the zone as it bobbled over the stick there of Hudas and Cru will go back and retrieve the puck. to Larus. Dastard just delays trying to get a pass. Wasn’t a great one to Park and that’s offside. Well, I got to say a lot of great forcheing there on by the Blackhawks. A lot of good pressure, some good passing plays. Notice Jets are looking for a few stretch passes there. So I think we’ve seen like a little bit more play from the Jets in the last sequences of play. Should be good from here on in. So face has been won by the Jets as Crucial. He’ll take the blue line. He’s tied up by Bartlet. Still Cruv with the puck. Couldn’t get a clean shot away. Still Crucial battling for the puck. And N will get there first for the Blackhawks and does to Kelly. He’s stripped of the puck. Good work there by Crucial out wide out towards Oliver Parkinson who over skated the buck for Le trying tried to get out towards Bartlett Aras the FV hit the pass to his brother Max and uh then passes to Cruv. So Parkinson driving towards the net couldn’t get a clean shot away. Flips it up high. Here’s a chance as to feed though couldn’t get a clean shot away and Valz will send that one into the corner and that’s going to be an icing call. Yeah, it’s looking pretty good here. I mean uh the offensive zone pressure there from the Blackhawks has been great. Six shots to one and uh just seems to be coming back the Jets way at the moment, but we’ll see if anything can happen from here. All right. 0 game 11 minutes 43 to go. Defensive zone face off for the Blackhawks. Bark is in dispute as skating on an hour will be Jeff Clink tied up by Bar but Clink still has the puck pass in the slot. Just nobody home and open door now for Valle up against two jets defenders. Nice move by Val still with the puck backand attempt and a save there by Garen Brown. Outlet pass finds Clink over skating. That was Kennedy. Dixon will send that one into the corner. Now Max has to fe cycle back. Jeffrey out towards Kennedy being picked off by Val. Drop pass. Not a bad one either. Out towards Dixon. So Dixon looks at his options. Happy to play that one off the boards out towards Nez. But pass wasn’t a great one. Has been turned over door now for Kennedy. Kennedy coick away from him. Kennedy gets a shot away though. Holland with the save and now Dixon will pick up the crumbs for the Blackhawks. So Valz drop past to Lazaro. Has a bit of space to work with. Gets it to Valz away from him. Keeps it in. Gets it in the corner. Looking out towards Valz who just let it ring around the boards. Barrett will get it out now towards Kruv. Corral by Bartlett. Barrett to Kanto. Kanto will get it back out to Barrett. But that was intercepted on the way through and the Blackhawks clear once again and Cru will skate back and get the puck. The stretch pass couldn’t be trapped there by Kanto. Now Hudel is behind his defensive net. Pass finds Barrett. So Barrett now out towards Kanto. Kanto out wide. This is a good setup. Croft to Barrett just couldn’t get shot away in the second attempt was blocked. It’s a beautiful setup for the Jets, but they just couldn’t finish it off. So Barrett being picked off by Bartlett. The Bartlett out wide out towards Kelly looking for Bartlett once again to Woods. [Applause] Martinale. He’s tied up there by Neita. [Applause] So Cali left the puck behind up north of Martenddale. But eventually the Blackhawks do clear skating back first and retrieving the park as Armaster Fee takes the blue line. Puts on the AR try to drive towards it. He’s a chance it and a save by Holland. Good work there by the veteran goalender. Here come the Blackhawks once again. So Val screen there by Dixon. Valz gets a shot away. Brown with a save. Parkers loose and it’s going to be kept in by the Blackhawks. It just goes over the blue line and it’s going to be a penalty against the Blackhawks for a trip. Yeah, crazy sequential play there. I mean, uh, Blackhawks got caught out in that line change a little bit, gave up a shot. Goalie stood strong and, uh, now Blackhawks are going to have to work out that penalty kill here. Jets going to their first power play. 8 minutes 15 left in the the first period. 2 minutes or less he’ll be sitting for. So, the Jets with the power play and they’ve won the face off. Crusalev just keeps it in. Crus battling with Nesbbit but for the puck and Crus corner. Kanto passing for Barrett. It’s been intercepted and Lazaro will just clear it out and Hudas will have to skate back and retrieve the puck. So Barrett with the puck goes out wide out toward the Lakers five. Wasn’t a great shot in the end, but Barrett gets the puck. Just walks in center lane out wide to Kanto. The Croft looking for Kando. Neer intercepts that and clears the puck again for the Blackhawks. Rand was forced to come out of his crease. Goes with the stretch pass. A successful one two out towards Barrett looking for Kanto. is going to be cleared away straight away by by Joshua Le and Bran once again will have to play the park with 56 seconds remaining on the power play for the Jets. Now it’s Armaster Barrett’s also there. Barrow gets to the puck now for the Jets. He’s stripped of it. Gets it back. It’s Adam Fee in the corner. Max Afiev with the shot on that occasion. And the Blackhawks holding firm on the penalty kill to Parkinson fev to Parkinson back out towards Jeffrey and that’s a poor pass been intercepted by Valz. So will get a shot away. Fires shoot got a bit of glove onto that one and still with the puck for the Blackhawks. Decides against the wrap around goes back to the point. Bartlet sends that one in the corner and now Max has to feed him. But the penalty has been killed for the Blackhawks. Martell gets it out towards Parkinson. Good stick left there by Bartlett. Nandal should get to the puck first. Jeffrey at the point keeps it in. Sends that one in the corner. Max Asti will get to the puck first. Looks at his options. Passing lane wasn’t there. So he forced to go around the net. Now Bartlet looking to clear to Nesbet. Pass out towards Lazaro. Lazaro now takes the blue line side against pass out towards null and that’s forced into the corner where love will clear for the jets and Jeffrey now with the park. [Music] Jeffrey gets it out towards Max as to Rob Love looking his options. Decides to go out towards Ast just a little bit too hot there for Hudelis. So Brendan Connors looking there for Null just couldn’t quite trap the park. Hud onto a first now for the Jets. So, Kennedy, leave that for Crucial. Fire shoots, but that was blocked off. Defensive stick and have a face off. Yeah, puck hopper up into the netting. That was a great penalty kill there from the Black Wobbs. Sat the box strong. Got the puck deep. Did enough. Even had an opportunity to get a short hand in there. 4 minutes 20 left. Eight shots to two. So from the face off, it’s been won by the Jets as we got a flying stick and that belongs to Jeff Wink as Holland stop the park and we’ll have another face off. Yeah, we’ll just reset there and uh 4 minutes left on the clock by the time this park drops. Great game so far. So Huda Lakers with the puck from the face off for the Jed. Shot comes in there by Kruv. No looking to clear hasn’t been able to. which I love. Comes in, fires, shoots, it’s got through traffic, but a little bit wider the net. Hudelas has the puck now for the Jets. Is a good setup. Can they capitalize as Kennedy tried to stop at home backhanded, but Holland Wall was all over that one. We’ll have another face off. Yeah, goalie stood strong on that one. Uh we’ve got 3 minutes 30 left. At the moment, we’ve really seen the uh the the switch from the uh offensive zone faceoff pressure coming here for the Jets. Should be good. And face off has been won by the Jets once again pass. Got a piece of that and did keep it in the zone. Eventually does find its way out. Hudarakas has to skate back and retrieve it for the Jets. He goes out wide. Croft Connors will beat Kanto to the puck, but it was a weak pass and Kanto got it out towards Barrett. Barrett takes the blue line now. Just walks down the center lane, but that’s an offside call. And we’ll have a face off. Yeah, that’s uh always unfortunate, always frustrating when you get caught offside, especially when you’re going for a run trying to get that shot off. We’ll have a face off just outside the Jets offensive zone. So neutral zone face off and it’s being won by the Jets looking strong in the face off at the moment. Max AV won the corner. Cotton gets there first. Croft now looking for Kanto. The shot was well wide. Still has a chance to pick up the rebound. Desperate effort in the end by the Blackhawks defense and Holland will glove that one. We’ll have a face off. Yeah, the goalie won that scramble. You never want to be in that position but when you are you want to make sure that you really get that glove over the park and cover up. did so there with two minutes left on the clock. Eight eight shots to five. Here we go again. So, another faceoff win to the Jets, but it’s been picked off by Val. He got it out of the zone. Max has the fee with the puck now. He’ll just concede all the territory he can and then reload. Puts on the afterburners. Still Max has to fear with the puck. It’s like he’s getting paid per second in possession. Now Esieve again. That’s Max Estie had to wait for Parkinson to get himself on side. Adam Master Fee trying to get it back out towards his brother Max. Martinale will send that one into the corner. Hers will get onto it first now for the Blackhawks. A minute just a little bit under a minute 20 remaining in this open pit. Here’s a chance now for the Blackhawks. Lazaro shoots. Scores and we got the first goal of the game. Blackhawks put one on the board. They’ll chalk that one up at 1 minute and 6 seconds left. That was a great little play. They look looked for that stretch pass. They had the guy there. Little tic tac. Tapped it over. Really did well to find the back of Lewan. [Music] So the Blackhawks get the important first goal in this can and they do it in the last minute of the opening period and probably won a little bit against the run of play as the Jets were dominating possession. So Love gets it out towards Armst takes the blue line puts on the Arts Burners will attempt a little backhanded pass. Armaster Fee will get the puck back still as the puck gets out towards Martondal kicks it back out towards Armaster Fee. Love just went past him and Brown. I thought he had a feeling he thought it may have been icing court, but he didn’t realize it was his own team that actually just miss past the puck. That’s going to be set in the corner now. One last chance for the Jets. Little backhanded attempt there. And that was um who that was. That was Hudacas. But at the end of the first period, the Blackhawks hold a one-nil lead over the undefeated Jets. Yeah, what an absolute great period there. Black horse really stepped up. They owned the first part of that period. Jets came back strong and uh right that last sequence of play there, that was really good by the goalie to get that pad down and make sure that that’s not coming back out the slot or get finding the back of the net. But I don’t know about you, Adrian, but I thought in terms of general play, the Jets seem to have more of it, but the black will capitalize on that really one really good chance they had. Absolutely. I mean, at the start they outshot them. They definitely were keeping it in their own zone a lot more, but then that long stretch pass started paying off for them. Then they got that offensive zone pressure with those face off. So, I think they really did well in the drop. And one thing the stats do show the Blackhawks lead 96 in the shot count. This is probably testament also to the defense of the Blackhawks. They weren’t really allowing the Jets to have those really great chances. Yeah. They didn’t give them too much of a look, right? And um as a goalie that’s what you really want to you want your players to stand in front of you strong and obviously like there’s a lot of hockey to be played here. Anything can happen. One one nothing nine shots for six. We’re going into the second period long change period here. And a team that’s been as good as the Jets. A onegoal deficit with two periods still remaining is done. Oh absolutely. I mean it’s end to end hockey here. Both teams have shown a little bit of momentum. It’s just a matter of who wants it more. So, second period about to get underway as the Blackhawks win the opening faceoff. [Applause] Battle along the boards. Puck comes out and is going to be picked off by Jeff Glinker will send that one into the corner. Holland will come out of his crease and play the puck. And dangerously so. This puck’s been turned over. It’s hooked up high. Love will wind up and shoot, but was a weak shot. And eventually the Blackhawks are able to clear. So Lazaro just off well in the end he just just crossed blue line and I think it was there was way offside but um an opportunity miss there for the Blackhawks. Yeah but at the same time they’ve just earned themselves a face off just outside the offensive zone. So I mean you can’t be too unhappy but you know you want to get that shot right. It’s frustrating. [Music] So faceoff has been won by the Jets. Max Feev left the puck behind. Gets it back. Proticked away by Valz looking for Lazro has been picked off by Max Afv. Just lost control of the biscuit. Gets it back now. Gets it out towards Kennedy. Looking for a fee once again. Good defensive work there by Brendan Connors. Protects the puck well and will look to skate it out of the zone. Awkward bobble love for Jeff Clint couldn’t trap it as Jeffrey would go back and retrieve the puck now for the Jets. So Kennedy would get onto it. Sends it into the corner making it a foot race. Croft should get there first for the Jets and Dudong the half. He’s been stripped away by Dixon. So Dixon now takes the red line takes the blue line as Kelly is the trailer but the pass looking for Woods wasn’t a good one and the Blacks have to get themselves back on side once again. Crucial strings that along the boards to Nesbbit and towards null. Left the puck behind Kelly. Now Bartlett up against Krusv. Bartlet should skate onto the puck. He’ll get there first and does but he’s tied up by Hudelis. Puck comes loose. Crusaleev now bubbles it up out towards Kando. Stretch past a good one too. Finds Croft. Croft with a trailer. That’s Barrett. Barrett gets a shot away. Holden with the save and he’ll love that one. And we’ll have a face off. What a save. Really stood strong there. Had the angle cut. Had the butterfly down hard. Really worked hard to get that save. And I mean I like the back check too from the black shorts. And I Hey, you don’t get much better than that with the zone entry. Well done by the Jets. So faceoff has been won by the jet shot comes in there by crucial getting to the park first will be Bartlett. So Valair looking for Dixon decides to send in the corner instead making it a foot race crucial up against Dixon. Artimaster FV escape the puck out of the zone trying to work his way through and a big love there by Holland and we’ll have another face off. Yeah, good work just to cover her up, settle things down, work out if they need to get a line change. They they won’t get that line change. They’re happy with who they’ve got out there and uh 14 minutes 30 left on the clock. Nine shots a piece, one nil. Faceoff has been won there by the Black Oaks. needed plays along the boards. Battle along the half wall now going to be cleared away. Lazaro with the puck. Lazaro the goal score. It goes out wide towards Valz. Shot was just a little bit wide. Lazaro backhander. It was a good one in the air now towards I think it’s Bartlett there looking for Lazaro. Fires, shoot, scores. Oh, what a play. Really crashed the net there. Really found their sticks. Passes on the tape. You just see that crashing that net, getting the rebound, getting the nice pass out front, putting it right where they need to, finding that spot. And there seem to be a lot of puck watching there by the Jets defense as well. I can’t deny that at all. Can’t deny that at all. But uh hey, we got a two-nil hockey game. 11 shots to nine. 13 minutes 40 left in the game. Uh in the sorry, second period. And so the Jets in unfamiliar territory this year, two goals down as we’re fast reaching the midpoint of this game as Max Astia have just tried to barge his way through. And the interesting thing, we haven’t seen both the Astia brothers on the ice at the same time. That’s been a rather predictable pair. And when you’re down, I think it’s probably time to start going to things that have been working for you so well for so long. Absolutely. [Applause] So Max has to fe just caught up tied up there with his own teammate Clink. So throwing his weight around there was null. [Music] Now it’s Max fever has the puck backanded pass. No look pass was a poor one. That was bad hockey. Good defensive work there by Tyson Jeffrey. Just stripped Elijah Kelly the puck before he was going to get a shot away. Now love takes the blue line, fires a net. Couldn’t find a way through traffic and Clink with the puck. Try to get it out towards Kennedy. Clink again just try to clear the zone, but it’s only Fan Val who will scatter it out. He’ll go blue line to blue line has Dixon there in support. He’s been stripped the park and here come the Jets with the pass was just on the wrong side of Kennedy by Hudel as who gets the puck back. Hudas driving towards the net. lost possession of the puck. Now again, shot attempt was well wide and Dixon will clear the zone only as far as Krusv. Kruv up against Dixon. Dixon gets it out towards Lazarto. Lazaro now taken out but no call by the referees. So Barrett has the puck now for the Jets. He takes a blue line. looks at his options, finds Kanto, delays, fires, shoots, puckers loose, but the Blackhawks there and support are able to clear the zone. That will be an icing call. Well, what a what a whole crazy end to end play there. I mean, Blackbox got caught out in line change a little bit, but they managed to get back with the back check. Goalie did enough. Went back the other way. Ned was nearly on a breakaway. Just got stripped. It’s all happened here. Two nils, 11 shots a piece. Defensive zone face off for the Blackhawks. [Music] Nita looking to clear the puck. Hasn’t been able to. Park battling with Valz. Now Dixon hasn’t been able to clear the zone. Armaster Feev just walks in. Gets the puck to the slot, but the only player there was Tyson from Jeffrey for the Jets. Clears it out towards Martenddale. Martinale has the puck now. Passes the slot looking there for Artemas. The feed puck is loose for Jeffrey trying to get a shot away. Now Bartlett for Sam Bartlett to ste the ship for the Blackhawk gets out towards Joshua. Fires that one into the corner. Kelly will get there first of the slot and that was null with a shot. Was a little bit wide but a beautiful setup now. Neita he’s fighting for the park. Pass by Woods. Shot there by Kelly. Saved by Brown. Another chance for Null. Gets a shot away. Another save by Brown. But at the moment the jets defense is all at sea. So Max has the fees as the fe takes blue line trying to cut in project away from him. So Woods will drop pass out towards Connors and Connors will take the blue line. Pass out towards Lazaro. Fire shoot was wide. Armaster fee gets it out toward back towards his brother Max. Clearing pass looking for Clink. Got a touch onto that one. He have to go back and retrieve it. He does. Happy to send that one into the corner. Allows his team to make some line changes. So stretch passing for Lazar. Lazarto and also Valz. This is both of them. Brown comes aggressively out of his crease, finds Kennedy. Kennedy will send that one into the corner and Holland will come out of his crease. Shot blocked off a defensive stick and now Lazaro has it for the Blackhawks out wide towards Valz just on the wrong side of him. Brush clears the zone. Holland will come out of his crease. Now Croft Kanto’s also there was right on the blue line. So he’s on side gets a shot away. Rebound on offer. Good defensive effort there by Connor. Stopped the the second chance there for Kanto. Kanto finds Barrett and the Blackhawks clear once again. So for being shook the puck by Ivan Gusv now gets a shot away. Had saved by Damen Holland. Kanto. Now Bartlett [Music] [Applause] over there’s traps the parkings lost it though. [Applause] So Martenddale backhand attempt and Holland with the save. Yeah, great work by Holland there. I mean made quite a few saves there. Covers up well. Couple of good plays there. I saw it was good to see Null and Ned getting some chemistry down the other end. And uh Nesbet holding strong in the back end for the Blackhawks. [Music] So the Jets have it from the face off. Max has to fe gets it out towards Jeffrey. Fire shoots. Scores. Deep goal there for the Jets. They needed that one. 7 minutes and 5 seconds left on the clock there. may have caught a body on the way through, but the shot come in from Jeffrey and I think that actually may have been a clear goal. Yeah, might have been a slight deflection, but I’m not quite sure from this angle. But I’ll tell you one thing, that was a great shot and a great goal. And a much needed one there for the Jets as well. And they brought it back to with one goal as they’ve won the face off. So Artamaster Fee Martell fires shoots looking there for the tip. Armst in the corner just burns off. Nina gets it back out towards Max just walks in fire shoots. Good block there by Elijah Calli. So Max has to fe gets the puck back to Max. So the astrophe as fee astrophe sequence in play once again Martondale Parkinson fires shoots that may have been blocked on the way through and null strips to fe the park up against Max as the fev and it’s Max as the fe win the race for the park pass looking for Martindale just delays gets it out towards the fe battling there with Sam Bartlet Bartler wins out hasn’t been able to clear the zone though kept in by Max has to feed him. So Valz, he’s forced out wide. Still in possession of the park. Has Dixon in support. Dixon the trailer fire. Shoot. Scores. Lovely set up there for the Blackhawks. Absolutely beautiful player there. Just got that puck in. Made a great zone entry. Took it wide. Took it deep. Found the support there in front of the net. Made no mistake. 5 minutes and 25 seconds left on the clock in the second period. 13 shots for 16. We got a 3-1 game. So, the Blackhawks regain their two goal margin, but and there’s some real defensive headaches for the Jets as well. Once again, they were exposed at their back end. The middle lane wasn’t there to be cut into and Clink will go back and retrieve the puck now for the Jets. Nesbbit should get there first for the Blackhawks and does clears the zone but that will be an icing call. Yeah. Nesbbit says it did look like I came off a a bit of a deflection there over the red line, but hey, that’ll be called icing. Can’t do anything about it. No change of staff for the Blackhawks. I think their forche definitely improved in that last bit, but um Blackhawks have been more consistent throughout the game. I feel they have. They definitely have. Um and that should hopefully hold them in goodstead. and and dare I say the Blackhawks are playing for a little bit more. They get this this win. I would expect they probably got second place. They’re still one one week to play and things can change, but there’s certainly um getting a top three. So, worst case scenario in the elimination final, they’ve got last change, but they certainly got a grip on that double chance in second place. Absolutely. I mean, that they they’re playing for it, right? You can see it out there leaving it all all on the ice. Exactly what I expect to see this period is they’re going to go all out. couple of young kids uh being Elijah Kelly Ned. He’s been playing really well. He’s been really good all season. Just wondering whether that was in or not. Um so I mean at the end of the day the call’s the call. You can only concentrate on what you can change and that’s not that goal. The referees will have a little bit of a discussion but um if this goal does count it be Rob Lop’s first of the season and it was a beauty of a shot. I give him that. It looked like it might have hit the top of the netting just past the crossbar and popped back out nicely, but I guess it’s up to the discretion of the ref here. We’ll see what happens. It looked clean to me from from this distance anyway. Um, yeah. And you didn’t really hear that sound of hitting the cross, that sort of that hard metallic sound. I didn’t hear the the the twang. Nothing like a dancing goalie. And just a couple of things worth noting particularly for the Blackhawks. It’s some of the players are missing. No McCoy, no Hodgej, no Nash. These have been sort of main stays of the the Blackhawks lineup and some of their best players. I’m seeing a lot of B-grade names. I mean I personally play for this team and a lot of these players on the Blackhawks here. So bias included there. So Clink takes a red line and will happily send that one into the corner. Just delays crossing the blue line till everyone is on side and Holland makes a relatively easy easy save in the end. We’ll have a face off. Yeah, he just freeze it up in the old bread basket. He’ll make things settle down and then uh really look for that uh that face off win from his team to get it out and hopefully put some offensive zone pressure on. So here’s a chance now for the Blackhawks. So maybe get a bit of zone time but Martondale has that puck and goes out wide. Armas Fever will take the blue line just delays just bumped off the puck still managed to get a pass out towards Parkinson. Parkinson’s backhanded pass looking for Max as the fever has been intercepted and the Blackhawks will clear once again. So Hudaris gets there towards Adam towards his brother Max. So Max has to feast Parkinson looking there for Max as the fe. He banks that one off the boards ineffectively in the end for his pass was chopped off by Max as the fe passes out towards Adam. Art master thieves stripped to the puck and the black looks clear once again. Zahud Larus gets it out towards Love back out towards Larus. Now AR has to feast gets it out towards Love. Little drop pass attempted down there towards Max fever. Couldn’t trap it in time. And at the moment, the neutral zone is the busiest place to be. Yep. 17 shots to 20 here. I mean, really great to watch that neutral zone trap there set up by the Blackhawks. Really had them stumped. I mean, they’re looking for that long stretch pass. An empty net but in the end Croft couldn’t get a shot away. I think he canned his chickens well before they were hatched. And in the end, he was the one left with egg on his face. So Dixon in the corner battling with Barrett and eventually is cleared by Bartlett for the Blackhawks, but a few scary moments there. So now Jeffrey, sorry. Yeah, Tyson Jeffrey with the puck. the drop pass back out towards Damen Barrett across the blue line. So the Jets have to get themselves back on side and that’s going to be an offside call. Yep. And uh the clock’s ticking on the penalty and the play. So I mean that works out well for the Blackhawks. They’ll get a change, try to settle things down. And that’s also coming to just outside their offensive zone due to the uh offside being delayed. So, neutral zone face off being picked off there by Martondale. Parkinson’s also there, but good defensive work by Bartlett. Max fee gets it out towards Martindale. And now Ast just cycles back to Adam back out towards Max. Max takes the blue line forced out wide and he’s just spoke to Dway from him. Good work defensive work by Bartlett that kills the penalty. So good penalty kill by the Blackhawks as Nesbit comes back on the ice. Has the puck now driving to net try to get a shot away. Brown got a piece of that one and eventually the play is blown dead. Yeah, Brown will cover up there but how about that? Nesbet came out with a statement to make a little bit of almost I’m out the box and I’m going to let you know about it and nearly got a goal there. Really put on the pressure off zone face off with 3 minutes and 20 seconds left by so Jets win the face off looking to clear the zone eventually does come out but there’s there first for the Blackhawks clink now couldn’t get a clean trap of the puck. It’s going to be set in the corner and crucial for the Jets will get there first. So Bartlett [Applause] Connors sends that one into the corner and Grush will get there first for the Jets. Obviously, he’s a bit frustrated with the offside, but whoever face off just outside his offensive zone face off uh dot there. Another faceoff win to the Jets. to dear outline a little spinama backand pass finds vanusvalev pass back towards Larus fires shoots saved by rebound on offer and croft has it back out towards just walks in fire shoots that was blocked on the way through so Bartlett will skate the puck out of the zone goes out wide Shot comes in round with the save. And the team on the belly kill look like the team on the power play. Yeah, I’d like to see two on the puck from the Blackhawks here. 29 seconds left. I mean, you got to leave it all out in the ice here and you don’t want to be giving easy shots. So, face off one by the Blackhawks. Bartlett plays up one off the boards kept in though by Jeffrey. Jeffrey Dardamas defe decides to go for the shot himself. Tried to stuff it home but the referee’s lost side of the puck and has bloated dead. Yeah. Much of the frustration there of the Jets I think. Absolutely. 18 seconds left and uh I think we are in for possibly some extra hockey here. [Music] And so Valz flips it up high out towards Dixon. 13 seconds remaining. Dixon with the puck. Cycle back in the corner. Tries to burn off. Max has the big pass out towards Valz. Just winds up and shoot. Went for the big slap shot. Couldn’t make connection. So Bartler tied up by Martale. Try to get it over the blue line. Does time runs out and that’s the end of this game and we got a tie. So, the Blackhawks take points off the Jets, which is something no team has been able to do so far this season. Ends the winning streak, but the um Jets will keep their unbeaten streak going for this season of 14 games. Absolutely. I mean, you see that extra effort there by both teams. Uh that, you know, they both had opportunities, especially in the dying seconds there. I mean, that big clapper, if that connected, who knows what happened. You just see there that last little attempt. The idea was right um just to wind up, go hard, but um in the end he did make connection. He came off your skate. Yeah, that’s just it. I mean, I’m sure he’ll be kicking himself thinking maybe a catch and release next time. But uh hey, that’s the way the the puck bounces and um he had to play he played a great game. But when you’re in those final seconds sometimes, you know, the trap and release you in your mind at least, you think you just don’t have the time for that and you’ve just got to make contact. Exactly. Exactly. And I’m very partial to the old one time. So in the end though, look at the some of the stats. It was three all between the Jets and the Blackhawks. There was the Jets in the N who won the shot count uh 24-9 which was um certainly um probably showed in the last two periods how they generally had the better of play but I was really impressed with the defense of the Blackhawks. Absolutely. They had the neutral zone trap working really well. I mean you see the Jets looking for that long stretch pass a lot. Um it paid off for them there as well. They nearly got that. They were off to the races there. Just uh couldn’t hit the net and they found a way of controlling the Astia brothers, which is something no team has really been able to do so far this um season. So yeah, can’t wait to see the next time these two teams meet. It’s going to be in a couple weeks time in the final. So it’s um with that result, it also means that the Blackhawks will keep a hold of second place on the ladder at the end of today’s matches. Coming up next, we have the Bison taking on the Sharks.
