And when I say opposite field, I just mean to the right. I’ve been sitting on 449 for a while. Here’s 450. And when it lands, the Yankees have three runs. Yankees three. Eight pitches in the inning for Rodon. High drive left field. Is it fair? That ball is gone. A home run for Judge. His 49th of the year. And the Yankees lead four nothing. A high drive right down the line and it snaked around the foul pole. Yeah, a a a sweeper, Michael, that didn’t really sweep. It kind of spun right there for Aaron Judge and you worry about when pitchers have a long inning in the first, a long inning in the second, the third inning is getting long that you just He was He was wishing it fair. Yeah. And it’s so high you don’t know if you know like 22. Did he go? You going to look at this? He did not get hit. No, he’s acting pretty good acting cuz he got me. Pretty good formula. Yep. And down goes Westber. One, two, three inning for Carlos Rodon. We’re going to go to the fourth. It’s four nothing Yanks. grounded and knocked down by Henderson, but then it trickles into left field. Bellinger will score. It will be an RBI single for Jazz and the Yankees lead 5 nothing. A little bit that allows it to trickle into left field. I think he would have had a hard time throwing Jazz, but he would have kept Bellinger at third, but it gets by. And now the Yankees have their fifth run just underneath his glove. He tries to slide and stop his momentum. And you can see Belly’s going to stop then once he gets by. Luis Rojas sends him home. That was a base hit to right field. Grounding third and heading home is Vulpi. Jackson bobles. He’ll fire to second. It’s an RBI single for Gisham. And it’s 6 nothing Yanks. Been on an RBI tear. 23 in the last 23 games. coming into tonight. So, it’s 24 and 24 now. Does a really good job staying on this change up and he’s a good change up hitter. We saw him hit a home run in Minnesota, a couple home runs in Minnesota on change ups. And you’re seeing an infielder who is now playing the outfield. Swing and a miss. There might be the adjustment that I would make, Michael, is I might change the the sequence of the pitches that I’m using. Like if I had started a guy off with a change up two times in a row, I might start him with a fast ball or by the National League Wildard is interesting. Swing and a miss. Mount Castle down on strike. So O’Neal stays put at first. driven deep to left field giving chases Bellinger on the run. It’s a fair ball. It is a double and an RBI for Mayo, allowing O’Neal to score. And the Yankees now lead by 56 to one. Take a look at this. How close this is to being a foul ball. [Music] Barry. Yeah, looks like it hits at the bottom of the fence on the yellow line. Two-2 swung on and missed. And that’ll do it. One run though on one hit with one man left. We go to the eighth. It’s 6-1 Yankees. That’ll get it. Fabulous. This should do it. Ground ball to Vulp. He sets, fires. Yankees win six to one. And they pull to within two of first place. With the Blue Jays losing and the Yankees winning, they are just two games back of the top of the division. Well, 17th win for Carlos Rodon. He was excellent tonight. Seven strong innings. Kept his pitch count down. [Music]
