  2. Ah Mike Trout. He was what I considered to be one of, if not, the best players to ever grace the MLB. A truly generational talent utterly wasted by a franchise that could never put enough good players around him. That and the horrendously bad luck of being injured a lot. Then came Shohei Ohtani, THE best baseball player ever without question, and again the opportunity to win was squandered but its hard for a team like the Angels to compete with the nearly bottomless purses of the Dodgers, Yankees, Mets, and Padres. Two of the best players of all time, to my mind #1 & #2, Ohtani and Trout at the same time. I may think Trout deserves far better than the Angels, but there is something truly admirable about his loyalty to them.
