Joe Burrow NEEDS SURGERY, Will Miss Extended Time With Toe Injury

Bengals fans biggest fear. Well, it crept out its ugly head and unfortunately Joe Burrow could miss the entire 2025 season. Hi again everyone. I’m James from the Locked on Bengals podcast and Joe Burrow will miss a minimum of three months as the toe injury he suffered on Sunday against the Jaguars means that he’s going to have to have surgery and only like 2% of people that suffer turf toe injuries need surgery. Joe is one of those people and it’s really really unfortunate. Obviously for Joe, you’re talking about a third major surgery in six seasons. Half of his seasons could ultimately end with a surgical procedure. You had the knee when he was a rookie. You had the wrist a few years ago. You have the toe now. So hopefully it isn’t season ending. But even if it’s not, you’re talking about a team that’s not going to have Joe Burrow for 11 games minimum, maybe more. awful, awful news that we’re going to break down throughout the day here on the Lock on Bengals podcast.

  1. Instead of people bitching that Burrow holds the ball too long:how about calling quick plays? That don't require him to wait and wait for a receiver to get in position. How about calling run plays to take the pressure of him and not make it so easy for the opposing defense to attack. How about putting more on the skill players to get YAC. Why didn't the RBs help the blocking the way they did in the 2nd half? In short:why do you call a sensible game plan for your back up but not your star QB? Are we to believe Burrow rejects those and Taylor is not allowed to call plays that would help the offense? Do we know any other HC that leaves their star QB out there to dry and only takes ownership when the guy goes down? Last week Burrow and Chase both questioned why they went away from the run game… People act like it's Burrow who did that

This team is done… the organization, time and time again fails to invest where they need to to protect him… He’s the only quarterback I see regularly every game on his back 4 to 5 times or how many times since he has he had season ending in injuries? It’s time for Joe Burrow to move onto a different organization to salvage. What is left of his career… He will never get that in Cincinnati and this is coming from a big huge Cincinnati fan.

  15. It’s every other year. I think it’s a clip of Aucho (sp?) saying AVAILABILITY is the best ability in the NFL. This year was the window essentially… Maybe next. I don’t have an answer. I’m just yapping at this point because all you can do is roll the dice on a 1st next or call Tom Brady tomorrow

  17. I put some of the blame on Chase Browns lack of production. He consistently failed to make the first tackler miss. Burrow needs a threat out of the backfield. Teams don’t respect Chase Brown and are teeing off on Joe.

Def player of the year 1988 Tim Krumrie breaks leg first defensive series in Super Bowl 23 & the Stanley Wilson nightmare. Ranked # 1 nearly the entire season, UC Bearcats basketball, with the consensus #1 overall NBA pick Kenyon Martin, player of the year, breaks leg in the meaningless conference tournament first round. UC favorite to win NCAA championship gets knocked out of NCAA tournament in 2nd round. Etc, etc, etc. We've been looking forward to this season since January 8 2025. Yeah, season is already over….same sh#! new year, Joe out for season in game 2! Why doesn't this ever happen to Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, or Lamar Jackson??!!! Burrow has now missed 50% of his first 6 seasons in the league. Is he Mr. Glass or what???

  23. I got horrible turf toe in college, freshman year of basketball. Working a BSME and I made a brace/spacer and my badly bruised supposedly needing surgery toes. They were good for the rest of college. Still need surgery and literally this past Saturday one of them popped out and my girl heard it and freaked. Too old for another brace, but I'd make one for Joe.
