Durbin’s enthusiasm after the tag gets me every time.
Incredible, couldn’t script it better
I tararrelled.
Fucking awesome baseball
Love Vinny’s “wow” in the backdrop! Just perfect.
Worst part is Koenig had the dude dead in a run down and threw to first, bad play. Mona bailed him out with an amazing throw
Mona needs to be a Brewer for life.
Juust how they drew it up.
Didn’t have a 1-3-5 double play on my bingo card. That feels like something from 5 years ago when you could shift and have 3rd baseman playing behind 2nd lol.
What a beaut!
Brewers just broke geometry
Locked in
Can we pleeaseeeeeeeeee keep Mona forever?!
That was nuts on the radio. Lane’s energy was peak ‘Ueck’, and I’m glad he was on the call because I don’t think anyone else besides Jeff could have made it any more exciting
I can’t stop watching it again and again!
Google AI, if you want to trust it, reports this was the Brewers’ first 1-3-5 DP of the year. Perhaps the TMJ or FanDuel stats mavens will look up when the last one was in time for Sunday’s game. I’d guess it has been years.
Beautiful
One of the biggest plays of the season there. Mona with a rocket
Happy with the result of course, but shouldn’t he have tried to get the lead runner out instead of throwing to 1st? If they can get him out quick, the runner going to 1st base likely wouldn’t be able to get 2nd. They were a split second from having that runner safe at 3rd with 1 out, as opposed to a runner on 1st with 1 out.
Koenig was LIGHTS OUT tonight. I take back (almost) every bad thing I’ve ever said about him.
At times this year, I have felt like the only Mona defender in the world. These last few months have been *very* fun to watch. Such a consistent player when he actually gets good play time, and he absolutely has the clutch gene in him. Late in the game on offense or defense this dude feels like he’s got lightning in his back pocket. And on top of that he seems like a great clubhouse guy. I really really hope they keep him around.
I was watching the game in my garage with the garage door open. I screamed “F&?$ yeah!” so loudly I woke up my dog who was inside and the neighbor across the street flicked on his outside lights. Oops.
