18. Every year when the Jets are realistically out of the playoffs I actually start rooting against them as I am looking forward to getting a better pick in the following year’s draft. Anyone else do this?

    Unless there is a situation where there is real progress regarding building for the future. However, that has been extremely rare with the Jets.

23. I will say, it’s nice not to be freaking out at 0-2. This is exactly what we were expecting from this season coming in. Let’s just see some good development from the young guys and try to keep this one close.

33. Little wildcard to consider amidst all the talk about each team’s injuries; special teams.

    Our special teams were *horrific* on Monday in Houston. We had a punt blocked, and no bullshit we could’ve had *three*. Our punter, Riley Dixon, has one of the slowest windups I’ve seen maybe ever, and clearly protections are jacked up. More importantly, Chase McLaughlin. “Money” McLaughlin has been really uncharacteristically terrible so far. He’s missed multiple kicks, including a PAT, and when a Bucs kicker loses his marbles, he never finds them again.

    If this comes down to special teams…let’s just say I’ll be very uncomfortable.
