I like Edelman, maybe my favorite player ever, but the only way he’s going to Canton is if he buys a ticket. Wide receivers is a very hard position to make the HOF and Edelman has no Pro Bowls and very pedestrian stats, and the playoff stats aren’t overcoming that.

another sign Edelman isn’t getting in is you don’t hear players or ex-teammates referring to him as a hall of famer, or that he had a “hall of fame career” in an effort to strengthen the narrative

He absolutely should be there. Its stupid playoffs and Super Bowl performances are basically ignored. He was the engine for three Super Bowl winning teams.
If Welker, the “godfather” of Slot receivers isn’t in, Jules isn’t getting in.
Unless he changes his last name to manning, my boy isnt getting into canton, unfortunately.
His only trip to Canton is when Tom/Gronk get inducted. He’s one of my favorite Patriots all time but he’s not anywhere close to the level of the Hall. Players like him are why team HOF exists.
There’s a long list of WRs that are much better than him waiting to get in. The voters have been very stingy with WRs lately.

How is he getting into Canton? One of the only requirements for the Hall of Fame is one Pro Bowl or All Pro. He says he turned down a Pro Bowl selection but he doesn’t have an official one. Is there something I’m missing because I hear “Edelman for the Hall of Fame” all the time
