I have a feeling he going on for 81+ for at least one game.
He did that on 91.2% true shooting percentage. A more efficient 70pt game had never been played until then or since.
His change of speed is such a cheat code. “I’m gonna hit the brakes and he’ll fly right by “
He looked so much leaner and faster this year on Euros. I wonder how much will the loss of size prevent him to bully defenders on his way to the paint.
8 3s and 15fts I believe I counted most of his shots were at the rim tho. Pretty impressive
(not so) Fun fact:
I watched that game live because it was back when there were a lot of rumors about a Dejounte Murray trade to the Lakers, I wanted to see how good of a player Dejounte was and so I started to watch a few Hawks game here and there.
Little did I know, I was about to witness one of the very best offensive performance of all time. And what’s even funnier is that I vividly remember thinking to myself: ”Man, how fun it must be to be a fan of a team with such an offensive savant.”
Now I get to know what it feels like. Man, we’re spoiled.
I really think Luka has a chance to break Kobe’s 81 points. With the right opponent and if he is lighting it up on threes he can get there.
a big F U to the team that traded his draft rights
The opponent is used to seeing the game played at a different speed, he takes advantage of that. He knows that they can’t touch him or else or else they’ll get called for the foul. And because he’s moving slower he’s able to stop on a dime easier and switch directions. Slowing the game down helps him maneuver and find open lanes instead of just trying to force your way through.
When he gets into the paint and he just stops for a full second before he releases the ball it feels like he’s still in warm ups fucking around. Like he’s gonna make those, there’s zero resistance.

Imagine with the weight loss he’s even better, Lakers would be legit contenders for years

Let’s just talk some facts
