Imo the ultimate jersey set for us is:
Home: Red Christmas throwbacks with black instead of green
Away: White Christmas throwbacks with black instead of green
Alt: RR1.0 swap green for black
I really liked that one stadium series jersey

I always hated the idea of this team using a black alternate jersey and never liked any of the proposed designs that popped up online, even though it seemed like a majority of the fanbase was clamoring for black alternates.
Then, we finally do get a black jersey and I think it’s fantastic. Looks sleek, lots of callbacks to the franchise and NJ, and a Devils legend helped design it. But it seemed like a majority of the fanbase hated it.
I loved the Jersey Jersey, it’s the only Devils Jersey I’ve purchased in the last decade+ and I will continue to happily wear mine this year and beyond.

I honestly love those kits so much, I think the font is awesome and perfect for an NJ team. But we’ve also played pretty cursed in them, maybe Jack’s shoulder will stop exploding in a new design.
I’m going to miss the Rahway State Prison Jerseys. Didn’t like this look when it debuted, but it grew on me.
I’ll never stop wearing my “Hat” hat.
These will be a relic of a time before our ascension to our 4th Lord Stanleys Cup.
They should just end it immediately.
It’s time for change but unlike most of you I really liked them. I own a Dougie one.

They are fun jerseys but I agree it’s time for something new. I think they should definitely go for a design with at least some green in it. The pizza box jerseys from 22-23 season are my fav
It’s funny seeing how many people online crap on them, because the ol’ Jersey-Jersey is clearly pretty popular with the wider fanbase. I honestly like it more than just doing a classic Devils jersey but with black swapped in for green or red, which always struck me as kind of a boring concept.
That said, I do agree that the Stadium Series red and the green RRs were primo. Still, overall I think the Adidas era treated the Devils pretty damn well overall.
I don’t mind change but honestly I‘ll miss them. I’m the in the minority of liking them.
I’ll miss it; I’ll have to buy another one this season before they’re gone. The meta joke is fun and I love having a black alternate. I hope the next one is also black

I’m legitimately shocked at how divisive these things are. I thought everyone ranged between “they’re kind of silly and fun” to “whatever, they stink, but it’s just a third sweater”. I just thought they were a niche sweater that had long-since run its course and wasn’t aesthetically pleasing enough on its own to warrant continued production and usage. I was amicable to them at one point in time, but my opinion has soured as they continued to skate out onto the ice in them.
